Xbox One X

I can’t understand how Amazon make money as people seem to be forever returning stuff!

It was reported Amazon warehouse staff really don't give a monkeys as they are tired and under pressure to get stuff out the door, so I guess any returns are not checked, and just put back into stock. Amazon sell so much stuff, their turn around on even returned products I suspect is fairly quick

I suspect that is why some get away with the whole buy it, send it back with something else in the box to at least give the box weight - the staff at Amazon just don't seem to care as they aren't really liking the conditions - and this time of year is even worse...

Returns at Amazon are certainly checked, but this time of year lot's of new hires so somethings might get missed even though they shouldn't as the returns department is pretty well run :)

So now we are a few weeks in... anyone getting that niggling thought of buyers remorse?

It's a great system, but I'm not really sure I'm overly impressed with it just yet game wise. Hardware is spot on and great value imo but I have yet to play a game that makes me think it was worth it

I guess games going forward would utilise it more?

The X is a good console but I've had more errors/issues with it than I can remember with any other console, although it has got a bit better lately.

Things can look better on the X than the Pro but in the side by side comparisons I've done it's often not that obvious. So with the difference (at this stage) not that big it all boils down to games. Unfortunately that's where the X is struggling, after my initial spell of playing X I seem to find myself back on the Pro and looking forward to what os coming out on it soon/next year including the VR which is just great. Scrolling through the pages of IGN last week and this everything seems to be PS and it's really hard to find anything interesting on the X, PUBG is now but I'm not really interested in that and from what I've seen so far it runs terrible (4FPS at some points lol).

I think the X has potential but as an overall gaming package it's just not there.

I regretted it and traded back in for a Pro. The hardware was excellent but as above, the games just aren't there. I knew this before hand but still wanted to try it.
Very happy to be spoilt for choice with game selection again.

Luck of the draw when it comes to reliability I guess. My X has been (to date) flawless. On the other hand, had my Pro less than a week and it's already crashed and had to do a database check (or whatever the check is it does).

To be fair I've not really had any issues with the X that I didn't have with the latest dash update before I traded my original Xbox One. Games not starting etc. I don't think it's the hardware, I just think the dash/software is a bit rubbish.

I do prefer the simplicity of the PS4's interface.

Seem to have developed a fault with my X, if I press the power button to turn the console off it turns off but then turns itself back on again. I have to physically hold down the button (hard reset) or use the controller.

Anyone else came across this?

Is the controller plugged in when you shut it down? If I shut the console down and I've just plugged my controller in to charge the damn thing switches back on. I need to remember to plug my controller in before I shut down the console which is slightly annoying as I never remember :p

Ahhhh I had the keyboard plugged in (was trying something) forgot to unplug, seems like it was that! Thanks!!

I never got on very well with the XB1 OS if I'm honest. I prefer the PS4 OS , even more so now they added folders. Its all about preferences,

I find it just as quick to launch games, it's just the layout and clunkiness of it all, I especially dislike all the advertising everywhere and some of social media rubbish that has no interest to me.

The PlayStation OS has adverts, they just aren't so in your face, do agree about layout and clunky feeling. In two minds about picking an XB1X up. Hardware looks excellent, game selection exclusive to the machine not so great looking.
