Chinese high climbing daredevil loses his grip.

Now i can agree with that view. It is most definitely at least terribly inconsiderate and irresponsable.
Not only when they die either, can you imagine having a son or daughter who you knew did that? I wouldn’t be able to rest for one second when I didn’t know where they were. I’d be an absolute nervous wreck.

What's wrong with being Russian? Me thinks OP has issues that only a shrink could fix.[/QUOTE
I suspect its because the attitude typical with the Russians who do this stuff on camera who make up a good percentage that do it rather than tagging in some hatred of Russians particularly.

Exactly, I'm glad at least one of you understand.
The vast majority of these videos do seem to be put out by Russians.
I don't hate Russians more than Chinese people. I hate all daredevil climbers about equally.
It's more a joke alluding to that russian daredevil bias.
Rroff for what it's worth you always seem to come across 1 step more intelligent than the average poster, just thought I'd stroke your ego a tiny bit. :P

"**********" or whatever the in term for the closeted is at the moment, need a converse, and these people are just that. I get a rush from motor racing, for some it's high climbing without safety gear, it's human nature to push oneself and ones boundaries. Personally I am rather glad he wasn't a Russian, I tend to like Russians and at this time they seem to be getting undeserved stick :) Enough died supporting us against a mutual enemy in the War...

thing is people have been posing for the same sorts of photos on mountains for ages... I remember back when I was a kid in scouts and we were had a slide show of our recent summer camp one of the slides had an older kid hanging off a overhanging ledge on a mountain while posing for photo (he was climbing/scrambling to the top and just paused for the photo rather than deliberately lowering himself off for the sake of it) - obviously these days any adult in charge of kids/teenagers who witnessed something like that happening would freak out a bit

obviously it looks a bit edgy when it is a tall building but some of these people who are exploring/climbing tall buildings aren't really taking any more risk than someone doing a bit of scrambling, in fact the buildings would be a technically easier climb for the most part... obviously lowering yourself down and hanging off the edge for the sake of it goes a bit beyond simply posing for a photo while climbing and that is where it starts to get silly (as per the Russian Instagram model below) but I can't fault them too much for the climbing part as I've taken a similar level of risk when climbing mountains in the past.

Holy jeezers.
That video pretty much is everything I get freaked out by.
No I don't wish her to fall to her death..... Lol
However if I read about an accident that happened.
I wouldn't feel particularly sorry for her....
As in op. Yes it's weird.. I'm not saying it's not. I don't think it's psychopath ground though..

So that crap about feats of strength in moments of life ending danger is a load if ****. A man with spindly arms that can't do more than 3 pulls, should not attempt that at 62 storeys up.

At least the Russian model had a small chance of survival hitting water. Although from that height anything other than a perfect entry is going to be fatal.

Adrenaline Junkie dies doing a stupid stunt in the home he won money.. He diced with death and it cost him his life.

Darwin award candidate for the year.

A classic of accepting the risks that come with the activity. Sometimes these things happen. At least he lived life and didn't end up waiting to die from some horrible disease or something

Im sure he was aware of the risks

you would think that testing the pull-ups would have been a priority....

all he had to do was have someone "off camera" ready to help.

all the gear, no idea.

Its pretty high tbh, she will enough time to accelerate to lethal speeds, regardless if its water.

FYI the Golden gate bridge is 75 Meters above the water, apparently the survival rate for jumping off it is 2%

Not a chance of survival. From that height, water is like concrete when you hit it. I would put here survival chances at approx 0.000001%

obviously they were running at the end of the clip and weren't supposed to be there/risked arrest, presumably they'd left the country before uploading (I guess being Russian in a Dubai jail is probably the next best thing after being Arab though it really isn't a place you want to end up)

this comment is odd:

“We are currently investigating the case. We have previously warned people to not perform such acts. They don’t realise that it could cost them their life if something goes wrong,” Al Mansouri said.

erm I think they do General Al Mansouri
