I'm using an external drive so I do think that's a factor. Even though my issues have been minor they did happen on my old XB1 since the last update.

Was your error the one that chucks you back to the dash stating it took to long to start?

Both were used on my old Xbox one but have been formatted since use on the X.

Never had that error in four years of ownership on my old model and touch wood its the only one i'm getting at the moment. Last night I tried PUBG twice and it happened then COD WW2 and it did it again and I then tried vermintide and it worked straight away, while it was happening I could hear the external searching and lighting up but it just couldn't load up........ Strange!

The only thing I've noticed is that sometimes it starts up the console without connecting to Xbox Live. Even though the network and internet is working fine, it can't see it.

So my son got Lego marvel 2 for his birthday, looks amazing, not sure if it's at 4k but definite res increase.

I can recommend a 2TB firecudda 3.5" in a powered caddy, very fast drive (7200rpm Hybrid Drive) I load in way before my freinds both the og xbox and the One X ones.
Its just a shame that they are limited to 2TB casue i would have liked a 4TB one, but to i really need that many games installed? I currently have 55 games installed Using the internal as well and realistically I play 10 of them regually, and another 10 rarely, the others are just there.

The One X uses 8GB of flash ram to cache the operating system, background tasks and the internal hard drive. It makes the internal drive perform a bit better than just a stock 5400m drive. A bit like using an SSHD but without the cost of using SSHD drives.

The Xbone from launch has had 8GB of flash, it's nothing new.

I read it in some tech bulletin before launch but pretty sure only the X caches the HDD....

Loving rise of the tomb raider. I have always enjoyed tomb raider games ever since the original. The 1x enhanced is just lovely.

Just amazing how far graphics have come since the ps1 days. The gameplay is improved too.

Im a happy camper tonight. Got my beer on, got my curry on and im Lara'ing the hell out of things!

Although offer ended last week, i got fallout 4 GOTY for £25, 50% off ☺.

How does fallout 4 run on the X ? Heard its a bit juddery in 4k? Although i bet its perfect on 1080/1440p ? Anyone confirm?

Yes I am led to believe it does although perhaps not as often as PS store. The last major one was black Friday I think, and there were some cracking discounts.

I'm hoping MS will have a christmas sale on as there are a few games I would like to pick up.

But even if they dont I have plenty to keep me busy in the meantime.

Got TR in the Black Friday sales, not started it yet as still working through AC origins still.

There are usually 3 or 4 Live sales a year, PSN has one almost every other month it seems.

The next MS one is Christmas.
