No idea how much the Corolla (1.8L) takes. I think around 5 litres.

The easiest way is just to keep filling up until it starts coming out of the filler hole. Then you know for definite your car has enough oil.

5.5 litres for an oil change. Pain in the bum for supplying oil, because 2x 4 litre bottles works out cheaper than buying a 4, then 2x 1 litre bottles. Why don't they just sell a mid priced 2 litre bottle, or half litres? I always end up with loads of 4 litre bottles sitting around taking up space until the next oil service.

I might be having a blonde moment.

Oh and a litre for topping up the indicator fluid.
