I've noticed the alarm is very quiet? I don't have it muted or low volume.

Can anyone recommend a reliable alarm from the appstore?

Alarm is really loud for me. Had to set it on the volume buttons so I can turn it right down so I don't jump out of my skin when it goes off. When the alarm goes off is the only time I miss the home button. Was so handy for just pressing it to turn off the alarm, didn't even need to open my eyes. Now I actually have to look where to press on the bottom of the screen. First world problems right here :p

Really pleased with my Pioneer SPH-DA120, maps, music & handsfree plus the phone is out of sight in the centre console :)

Cheers all

I went for the Sony XAV AX100. Was £425 on Halfords but I got them to pricematch Amazon for £308. Really pleased with it. Being able to use the maps from my phone (I'm in the minority who doesn't mind Apple Maps) so they're current and browse my music was great.

It even tells you where you've left your car. Would be handy if you've gone somewhere new.

Had my 6s for nearly 2 years and did not know you could turn alarm off with home button !

Guess I've got something to look forward to at 6 tomorrow morning.

Why can’t you swipe up now to clear recently used apps? Why do you have to hold down until the clear button shows up? Just made it more work now to clear the apps, simple swipe up worked much better.

Exactly. They made it more difficult to force close apps as force closing apps is detrimental to battery life. Only force close them if they're not working properly and you're good, just leave all the rest alone and you'll get better battery life. I rarely force close any apps and have no issues with battery life at all.

Has anyone had any issues connecting to CarPlay? I picked up the phone on release day and CarPlay has never worked. Old 7+ worked fine as does every other CarPlay compatible device that I have tested. Apple support have had me submit diagnostic information twice and they have admitted they are aware of the issue but I was originally told it would be fixed within a couple of weeks at the most.

My own personal view is I don't hold with hands free calling any more than holding a phone to your ear. Research has shown it's almost as dangerous due to mental capacity distraction. I have witnessed the aftermath of call related RTCs all too often.

Exactly this. I never understood why people feel the need to keep closing apps. Perhaps old Android users?

If you are not initially wowed then you won’t be moving forward. Maybe keep the 6S+ for another year?

Ordinarily I would, but I've promised to give my 6S+ to my uncle!

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I don't like the X, I guess, for the price, I was expecting more? Oh well, I'll keep this one as long as it works.

That's the problem isn't it.

Whatever hardware you own, iOS is still iOS and your user experience basically stays the same.

Everything runs very slick though on the latest hardware and the cameras are really good (unless you try the absolute pile of garbage that is portrait mode)
