Tea bag or bad gag?

I prefer the "prickly Christmas tree" tweet further down their page :D

They seem to have a bit of a thing for semi-risqué marketing this Christmas.

I really do hate the world we live in today. That is just so incredibly offensive, I will be setting up a petition to have Poundland stores shut down at once. Disgusting behaviour.

They seem to like risque jokes? Poor taste for a national chain, but I wouldn't say I was offended.

Given the issues with Steinhoff you might be in a race for that.

Question for you. Do you really think they would have got away with it 20, 30 or 40 years ago?

I doubt it. We are a lot more liberal now than we used to be, even with the “PC culture”. You can show a heck of a lot more on TV and in adverts now than you used to be able to for example.

Just shows that the guys in their advertising department are a bunch of 30 something gamers.

Sure it's a bit bad taste for your average punter but they basically won't have a clue anyway.

Next time I'm in London I'll buy 2 bags of haribo from them instead of the usual 1.

The tbag one was quite tame compared to some of the others. Personally I loved the free moustache rides one.

Found them hilarious.

+1

Just think of some of the things Mary Whitehouse got her knickers in a twist about that we wouldn’t give a second thought to today.
