I’ve seen a few references to odd times of opening gifts so when do you open yours?

Xmas Eve?
First thing Xmas morning?
When relatives arrive?
After dinner?
Other?
Pancake?

If the mods could oblige with a poll that would be great.

When my kids get up.

Which now means after midday as my daughter is a typical teenager and won't get out of bed.

Get up eventually, then open stocking's, then cook a ridiculously large breakfast, followed by all gathering round to hand out presents one by one, waiting while each is opened. Then for me it is off to the kitchen for a good few hours cooking Christmas dinner. Only after that can I sit down and relax with a pint or three.

When I was kid: Stockings first thing, presents late afternoon after my dad had slept off lunch and done the washing up.

In Germany with the "in-laws": on Xmas Eve
With my family: probably afternoon of the 27th?

This year, most first thing in the morning, some after lunch/dinner. Some on boxing day when we see other family.

As soon as our little man gets up we all go in the front room for him to open his presents... Me and the missus opened ours last night...

This morning our little one didnt want to get out of bed without me which was nice.

Wake up, stockings (never too old), Secret Santa in bed still as that’s not a family present. Then await for all the family to arrive, little bit of breakfast then once the turkey is in we start presents and continue through the day till just before lunch.

Kids open them in the morning, everyone else after dinner or whenever.

Unless you're a kid there's nothing to get excited about really, the usually junk given every year we don't need or we regularly buy ourselves.
