YouTube star Logan Paul uploads a monetised video of a suicide victim to "raise awareness"

Things you do for clicks...
I am sure he's gonna do well out of it overall.

What a POS. Considering how stupid his child followers are this is really nasty and dark.

What's with all the instant reaction videos by other YouTubers before full details are even known, just cashing in on something they're so against but in the long run likely further promoting the guy in question

Because they don't really care that much but want the extra videos over what they would normally get.

There is a degree of hypocrisy in that the mainstream media often show these sorts of pictures these days, yet get away with it... it's equally distasteful.

He no longer surprises me at all - It's just a shame how many young fans he has - He should be setting an example.

Not sure, don't really want to watch it. I think boogie chimed in because he's dealt with depression and suicide extensively throughout his life, he was pretty civil in his rant.

Got a lot of time for Boogie, his video on his divorce almost had me in tears but this - like someone mentioned above - feels like an attempt to join the bandwagon.

I don't see how anyone contemplating suicide could watch Logan's video and think, yep, that's it, that's what I've been waiting for, I'm going to do it now. I could be wrong and I, obviously, hope I'm right.

Mix fame and money with the immature and this is what you get. At least in the past stars had agents and minders to try and keep them in check. In the world of the YouTube blogger anything goes and material can be uploaded without a second thought for the implications.

Some of these YouTube stars are the next generations role models. I'm not a parent yet but I am absolutely amazed at what I see friends and family let their kids access on YouTube. Even my 2 year old niece knew exactly how to skip the adds! My brother in law didn't know there was a "Youtube Kids" app and would let her have the iPad to watch pepper pig etc. No surprise then when she wandered onto the other content on the side bar.

Both Logan and his brother Jake are utter trash and an embarrassment. They're on a huge platform and have such a reach and influence (especially given the majority of their audience is young teenagers who will be easily influenced) and they choose to use it by being disrespectful, vulgar and utterly childish. I've never seen so much self entitlement than I have between the two of them and they're seemingly able to put out anything they want on that platform without consequence. They're 22 and 20 respectively and they act like they're 12 - is that what a lot of money does to people? He clearly didn't care about what he was seeing - the only thing he cared about was ensuring they got a decent thumbnail and content for the video.

When did they start if they are that young and have so many viewers? What does he do? Just talk about stuff rather than review things?

Could it be argued that that is the very reason why they have so many young fans? Kids love stupid immature crap.

well he seems like a massive ****

I don't really understand why people follow these youtubers... I watched some once by girl in the states called Jenna Marbles and she was pretty funny and some amusing prank/pick up videos by a guy called Vitaliy but even then, even though I liked those two I'd not really be bothered to subscribe and watch their content on a weekly basis.

I can maybe understand some specific interest ones if you've got a hobby or something but some of these generic youtube personalities like the guy in the OP just seem like complete cretins

Just seen he's posted an "I'm Sorry!!!" video on his blog - Can't hear it as I'm at work but he looks all sad... :p :D

People are saying that he's killed his career - I can't believe it'll be the last we hear from him though sadly...

It's even worse now as the big bucks is in daily or as regular as you can vlogs due to the changes they made last year I think it was, I'm subscribed to a few channels but they're mainly podcasts or informational type videos.

Isn't that why they attract the audience they do though? If they behaved more sensibly the kids wouldn't find it interesting. It's like Clarkson and co...people live vicariously through the behavior of others.
