i know this may seem a bit of a silly topic, but I need some really warm gloves and there’s so many on amazon. Can anyone in the know tell me what to look for in gloves to ensure maximum warmth. I have a slow circulation so really do need them warm. Are ones of Amazon ok or am I better off going to a speciality shop like Go Outdoors or the like.

thought about pocket hand warmers? plenty of them on Amazon, both reusable and disposable, could put slim ones inside any glove

Touchscreen? That leaves two options, either a variation on fingerless (shooting gloves for example) or something that allows touchscreen use. It is gonna restrict what choices you have. Plenty of options on Amazon, just look for 5* at a decent price.

Sealskinz are fantastic gloves, I have a few pairs for different occasions.

Another +1 for Sealskinz, they are good quality gloves.

I've got a pair for cycling and a pair I use for walking, including in winter when it's easily into the minus celsius and they've never let me down.

Snowboarding gloves with touchscreen fingertips? Not the ultra bulky ones. I have a pair of Dakine boarding gloves that would probably be spot on if they were touchscreen compatible.

I had some North Face E-Tip that I would still use if I could find them.

Not so much use for them these days as I drive to work, but when I was using trains and trams they were great, though you wouldn't be climbing Everest in them, for most winter days they did well.

Hestra make excellent gloves if you don't mind spending money. If you get really cold hands (like me) you want to get mittens instead and some internal gloves too.

I've got these, great for skiing. Not much use if you want to use your phone!

Power Stretch gloves are my go to for most things and they're relatively cheap which is handy as I go through them fairly quickly! You can usually pick them up on offer somewhere too. Dachstein gloves are worth checking out, I've got a pair of Dachstein mitts and they're fantastic, warm and reasonably priced. I've got a few pairs of Black Diamond gloves which are well made and warm, but they're at the pricier end.
