Holidays 2018

Going to Fuerteventura for a week on Weds.

Going cycle camping in late spring when it's warmer.

Road trip in Europe (hopefully with the roof down) in the summer.

I've got five days in Great Yarmouth in February.

I am not joking.

/edit - And a weekend in Stoke in June, does that count?

Sagres in Portugal to see the other halfs brother.

Jyvaskyla in Finland for a long overdue visit to see my Mum's side of the family

San Sebastian for a foody weekend.

Numerous UK trips. Wiltshire next weekend and York coming up in a few weeks are the nearest.

Two weeks in Disney world we do each year towards then end of august possible some sort of break with in-laws that normally involves some sort of caravan park or something similar not my ideal choice but its what they like and important for kids to spend time with family

We flew out to Gran Canaria on New Years day, stayed in the Taurito Princess hotel, all inclusive. 24 deg, blue skies, awesome weather. Hotel was the best I've ever stayed in. Resort fantastic. Can't wait to go back. Nice way to kick off 2018.

Booked three nights in Brugge over St Valentines weekend.

Hopefully a couple of weeks in the summer. Need to find somewhere with activities and culture for the GF and 25m rectangular swimming pool, adults only, with all inclusive drinks for me.

NYC May/June TBC
Japan Sep/Oct TBC

Some weekends away throughout the year as normal.

Any reason why Sept/Oct ?

I would edge towards the end of October for 3 main reasons, I mean if you haven't booked it yet.

1 - Japan summer is unrelenting, it is not just hot, but the humidity is insane.

2 - Sept/Oct is also Typhoon season so there are a lot of rain around then, last year it rained non-stop for weeks and weeks. I subscribe to a lot of Japanese vloggers and it rained so much they all did vlogs on "what to do in Tokyo when it rains" videos. The rain was consistent all the way to November.

3 - Fall colours, During Late October and November the leaves changes colour, much prettier.

Dec/ Jan Lisbon for new years (done)
May - week somewhere near Faro (wedding)
July or August - Austria and Slovakia for a week or so
December - same as above but only a long weekend :)

I guess there will be a proper beach holiday at some point as well. Though that depends on when we buy a house.

Sep/Oct Disneyworld Florida for 14 days
Dec Malaysia for Christmas

First year since 2013 that I am getting time to take a break so making the most of it.

Just back from South Africa. Barcelona in Feb, somewhere undecided in May, Aus in July with my Daughter, NYC in October to see Maroon 5 then Sydney for Christmas and new year.

I hope you like sun and booze; that's a long time in Dubai!
I like the sun yeah. Not too fussed on the booze, I don't drink all that much with my kids being young so they're usually in their beds by 10pm and I'm not keen on drinking in my hotel room.

We have a packed itinerary and I fancy doing a few things off the beaten track whilst we're there too.
