Holidays 2018

Currently in Dominican republic. So far booked are Ronda in April, Algarve in June and NY, philladelphia and Atlantic city in September

Not many as a lot of my leave was turned down, but September, road trip to Germany to the Nurburgring for the GT3 Blancpain series weekend. Travelling Thursday and spending Fri/Sun at the ring then I may have to be in work on the Monday AM; also turned down as leave :(

Other trip which is confirmed as Thursday/Monday inclusive booked off for Moto GP Of Valencia weekend :)

Would love any tips from Seville; I am heading there in a group of 4 in Feb. Very excited about the food :)

Food in Seville seems to be very good and well-priced, even though we didn't venture far from the centre. The places we tried and really enjoyed in the old town were La Bartola and La Taraceina. Stay in the top 10% of TripAdvisor and I don't think you can really go too far wrong :)

Thanks they both look great. Did you find it hard to get into the tapas bars in the evening? We're going to try and do the whole big lunch, tapas in the evening-thing but I feel we'll get a bit agitated if we have to wait for 1hr or so just to get into some of the more popular tapas bars. I've given up queueing for restaurants in London, I don't want to do that on my holidays!

Does anyone have any restaurant or cafe recommendations for Reykjavik? Heading there next week for four nights and have a load of activities lined up, but would be keen to book up one nice restaurant, and have an idea of where the cheaper good fast food/cafe options are too.

September-October - Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Paris, London, st Andrews, hull (Don't ask). Not sure what order that's all going to happen in yet, but need to be up in Scotland for a wedding, so tacking on a general Europe trip too. Maybe Japan for a week or so in summer, money depending.
whats in bern?

12th July week - Barcelona for 4 days then Malaga for 3 for a wedding
December - Philippines for older brother's wedding

I believe Bern is in Switzerland.

Just booked my September holiday, decided on doing a short Italy road trip along the western coast.

Amsterdam in a couple of weeks and Ibiza booked for July. Few more city breaks to fit in there too, Budapest and somewhere in Spain hopefully.

They were all busy pretty soon after opening, and we found the best time to be around 8 pm when most open. After that they stay busy, some with queues, until gone 11 pm. There's no pressure to leave your table once you're seated though - we stayed in La Bartola on our last night from 7.30 until around 11 pm.

yea I often go through there on the train. its the capital city. where as many people probably think geneva or zurich is
just curious why someone would holiday there.

This dynamic pricing rubbish really grinds my gears.

Been looking for a weekend break away in March. Price comes out at £438.24 on Expedia, flights and hotel.

Okay fine, lets see if I can get any voucher codes to work - no luck. Right, how about going through Quidco. "Yes, you can come through Quidco, but now we've inflated the price so we can cover ourselves for the cashback." - Price is now £449.

The price when I'm logged in is different to when I am not. And I've just done another search for the same hotel whilst not logged in and now the price has decided to become £640!!

I really fills you with resentment, the fact that you don't know if you've actually got the best price, despite how the price is being advertised to you e.g. "Member Pricing!". It just makes you feel like you're being screwed.

Edit: Finally got it at the original price going through TCB. Sigh.

Thus far this year I'm booked for a weekend in a Pontins and a week in a Butlins...I'm living the dream!! lol

Any recommendations of good places to look for a super cheap weekend breaks in the UK or super cheap week long holidays somewhere warm for solo travellers?

Define "super cheap".

You know those lovely looking deals you see advertised in magazines "luxury 2 night weekend in somewhere lovely, only £99" That sort of thing but where you can actually booked them and not end up having to pay shedloads of extras on top...lol Just anywhere good for looking for holidays/breaks really, it's been so long since I had a proper holiday and back then there wasn't really the whole internet holiday industry about so I'm a bit clueless with it all.
