It's all coming togetherThey just need to phase out the 3DS and concentrate all their efforts to future iterations of the Switch as their sole home and portable console.
And make the platform iterative across generations like the XBox platform. Oh, and fix the digital library so that it's tied to your account and not the console.
Then I can go all digital and keep my games across generations.
Say WHAT!?
I've been buying digitally, did not know that! So if my console dies I lose my games?

Looks like that already happened Kreeeee
It's the one reason I won't buy digital where I can avoid it with Nintendo. Very archaic.

Well it's official. The Switch has outsold the lifetime sales of the Wii U in just 10 months. Operating profit increase year on year - 261%. What ever you think of Nintendo, it's an amazing turn around.

I still don't feel they should be charging for online, but for €20/year it'll probably be worth it just for the 'classic game collection'.
Nintendo confirmed that this monthly plan has indeed changed, telling Kotaku: “Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will have ongoing access to a library of classic games with added online play. Users can play as many of the games as they want, as often as they like, as long as they have an active subscription.”
Nintendo adds: “Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will be able to play a wide variety of classic games, including Super Mario Bros. 3, Balloon Fight and Dr. Mario. More games will be announced at a later date. At launch the classic game library will include NES games. Super NES games continue to be under consideration, but we have nothing further to announce at this time.”
It remains to be seen whether this classic service will replace Nintendo’s traditional Virtual Console, which allowed fans to buy old games on 3DS, Wii, and Wii U. When asked about the Virtual Console’s future, Nintendo offered: “We have nothing to announce on this topic.”
Still pretty ridiculous that Nintendo can't sort out their online until 18 months after they released it. Lets be honest, its not going to be mind blowing either is it.
Still no work on cloud saves either.
I've been playing online for free since launch without any issues. I'd prefer it if they never charged for online and left it the way it currently is.
Their online is **** compared to MS and PS but the biggest issue is still cloud saves. I simply will not send my console in to be repaired until they can guarantee that I won't lose hundreds of hours of gameplay. Its a shambles that there is no way to backup your games without getting a second console at the moment.
