2018: What's considered a decent wage within reason?

I do pretty well on 35ish, rent with a flat mate (soon to be myself) and manage at least two/three holidays a year (3 weeks in NZ this year already) with a fairly expensive bike hobby. My cars a piece of crap though.

I see cars as means of transportation, I know how expensive bike hobby is. :p

Mid 20s couple, 180k mortgage, 2 cars bought outright

We're comfortable on a combined 50k year, save a decent amount each month, once children come along etc we'd like to see that to closer to 60k year combined

28 y/o.
Rented property with partner, also 28, outside of London.
2 cars, one paid off, the other has an £8k loan on a Mini that WBAC values at £10k, so both assets have positive equity.
Deposit saved to buy a house and saving regularly to top that up (off topic but will probably wait for Brexit to happen before I make the jump to home ownership).
0 kids.
Multiple abroad holidays per year.
Combined income of £60k per annum.

We could both lose our jobs and be comfortable for a year, or one of us could lose our job and be comfortable (technically) forever, all things remaining the same, except for holidays, a secondary car and savings, all of which having to go.

Therefore within reason I consider my setup decent, but it can adapt infinitely as I need it to.

well look at it avg. realistically most people are on between what 15k-20k.without the bs.so id say anything above 20k is a decent wage for avg joe.if you qualified in a specific job 25+

Combined income 225K GBP
Rent £2600
Health Insurance £750
Childcare: £3300
General living costs for food, bills etc seem to be about 1K.
No loans.

Only thing is I need about 1.5Mil to buy a house around here so will be renting for some time.

My Epeen is this big <----------------------------------->

If you live like an average Joe, you could save up enough money within a few years and move out to e.g. Thailand and you would never have to work again. :p

For what you posted you'd need to be on about £25k a year, though more money would obviously mean a nicer place, more freedom to go out, go nicer places on holiday, have a better car, etc.

Me and my GF have a combined income of about £50k, mortgage is about £130k, we have two cars but no loans on either, she has a student loan but other than our monthly credit card bill we pay off on full that's it. We live extremely comfortably, we don't have expensive cars or clothes etc. But we have two holidays a year, go out often and if we want something we can buy it.

I live like average Joe more or less. OK we have 2 cars, but both second hand and 1 is a 2012 Renault scenic and the other is a 2014 Subaru forester so hardly exquisite. We live in a pretty small apartment in a small village to keep costs down. We haven't eaten out a restaurant once this year, and had taker out pizza once when there was a power cut. No big holidays this year, will drive to Germany for a week staying in basic B&Bs, plus a few long weekends around Europe. My phone is an Amazon pone (Motorola). TV was the cheapest 60" LG TV, it wont get upgraded for another 8-10 years.

You must have so much money in the bank. I assuming your planning to retire quite early?
