I couldn't add this to the last thread about this incident. But it now seems that not only have people been setting up a shrine to the dead burglar, now some traveller as vowed revenge.

Why do peoples moral compass go out the window when its their friend that is in the wrong?

I can understand his friends being upset about it. But it seems their moral compass went out the window.

What are other peoples thoughts on this?

Personally i completley hate travellers, i don't care if it makes me a racist.. they should all be deported back to ireland and refused access to the united kingdom.. They cause nothing but anti-social behaviour across every town i've ever lived in the UK.

Put a few tactical support guys in the house opposite, do a big publicity thing about him moving back in and then wait.

Seems an easy way to clear a few more scumbags off the streets to me

****** gonna *****

This. Although be careful, this thread might get locked / baaleeeeted because of racial undertones. I don't know the full history except that roma / gypsy is a race in its own right. This does not apply to travelling showmen (fairground operators) as the Showmen's Guild of Great Britain isn't race-related IIRC.

Nothing will be done. The police are far too scared to get involved when it's ******.

Yup, they tend to bottle it, an extended family of travelers was causing trouble all over the borough where my parents live, they'd be moved on then would pop up in another local park etc... kids would raid local shops, like a dozen of them would run in at once and grab stuff off the shelves, finally there was a court order banning them from the borough.

Police did next to naff all during the period though and were significantly much more responsive when some local residents tried to block/stop the travelers from going into one park.

If a regular person drove around in an uninsured vehicle they'd risk getting it confiscated, seemingly not an issue for travelers. Ditto to driving a vehicle in a public park, if you just decided to drive your vehicle all over the grass in your local park and someone called the police they can and likely would stop you... if you're a traveler and turn up with a bunch of caravand the police won't do a thing

Was watching one of those police shows on TV the other day, they chased a burglar in a van all over the place as he made his way to one of their sites, proper dangerous driving too. The moment they drove into the site the copper actually said to camera that "that it's, we don't want to go in their and aggravate the community. You win some, you lose some.".

Yeah, I'm sure that's a great comfort to the person that the scum has just burgled and who pay your ******* wages.

Well you see it with the Pakistani rape gang cases, political correctness leads to a soft touch/treating them differently and the problem just grows.

rofl, I actually saw them do this at Asda once in Lincoln - transit van parked at the front entrance with the doors wide open, a load of kids jump into the back of it clutching armfuls of stuff, then the van went screeching off with the back doors swinging wildly..

Basically, if a traveller wants (aka steals) something of yours, it becomes theirs. Every time.

Plenty of news stories* where the Police say, "They're telling us you sold it to them for £1/ gave it to them freely; it's your word against theirs"... and that's that. Plenty of people saying they've had ££££s of stuff stolen from them, the Police even know exactly where it is, but won't recover it.

it's either "human rights" or can't get sufficient evidence to secure a conviction. Gypos are above the law, or very close to it. Countless printed stories all saying the same thing... once a gypo has your stuff, it's theirs. And very often Police won't enter "their" compounds.

*Not all DM stories!

There were a bunch who rocked up in a carpark nearish to me a few weeks and turned our sleepy little market town on its head...
Apparently they have moved on but I really don't understand why they are above the law?

Problem is they often marry young and breed like rabbits, so even local authorities trying their best to cater for them are inevitably going to run out of legal pitches.
