Sorry I know its the Sun :)

What are other take on this? Personally i don't have a problem and see these types of dresses sold in quite a few fashion outlets.

This hit a nerve with me as my daughter who is five suffered from a similar situation around xmas time when my she wore a Chinese dress to school and another mum commented saying it was not appropriate as she is not Chinese even though she is part Chinese and grandma is from Malaysia.

Seems to me people are just trying now days to find fault in something to have a go.

So what say GD..

Is wearing a pair of Lederhosen or a Mexican hat now considered racist?

What happened to "cultural appropriation"? Did that not gain enough traction and fall out of vogue? I wonder if it's due to the words requiring more than 3 brain cells to pronounce.

Progressives starting doing this:

I do wonder if the people 'backing up' the original person that called this girl out as racist are just attention seeking or wanting to be part of 'that' crowd.

Why does a few people's stupid tweets count as news? It's almost the same level as youtube comments.

Edit --

I know the answer, as it gets hits from people sharing saying how ridiculous it is.

was is QFT i thought it was FTW

haha seems like it was neither.

The outfit looks great but why can only people from a certain country wear it?

Apparently white people can't appropriate other cultures. Meanwhile literally every other modern culture wears western fashion.

Yes. These days people go out of their way to find something to be offended by. Seeing racism where there is none is a large part of this too.

It's not racism but Cultural Appropriation as Diddums pointed out.

I can get on board with most left/liberal concepts, but CA doesn't make any sense to me.

if thats racist, then so are billions of non-americans wearing jeans or any business man/womain outside Europe/North America who wears a suit.

/not a fan of social media "news" :(

Doesn't work that way around apparently, that would be cultural assimilation.
