Before anyone chimes in

We are not paying for it, the royal family contribute £380m a year to the treasury and bring in an estimated £2b in revenue through tourism per year.
 
It's everywhere here in the states!!! The yanks are OBSESSED with the royal family. They romanticise them as if they were a TV show.

I kid you not, I thought it was a joke when the 3rd week in a row the local rags at the supermarket checkouts were yet again but 10 months later, I'll be shocked to NOT see them on the local rags front pages. It's insane!

Calm down corbynite, people would be worse off without them.. like seriously.. The money they bring in each year for merely existing could pay for 20% of the NHS
 
I actually have nothing against them, just got to ride it out for a day or so. What's quite amusing is that I've seen more posts on Facebook complaining about not caring about it then posts about it.

People won't watch news on another bombing in the eastern world. It's not shock news anymore. This is (apparently) which in turn gets them more views. Not sure what you're expecting from main stream news sites/shows as they are all about views, not news.
 
Who cares? they don't actually do any thing for us. We are all created equally, they are no better or different to us and it shouldn't be made a big thing of.

I know that and I still hate it! I think it's really sad tbh and why our media is such a disgrace
 
Got a lot of respect for Harry and what he's done for the forces/veterans etc, and full respect to him for bagging that but yeah i'm getting bored of the constant coverage. Good luck to them and all but i'll be tuning out this weekend.

In general I support the Royal Family purely because of the amount of revenue they bring in, if they didn't I'd not support them at all. But I still think the constant covering of them is just sad and boring. But then if they weren't covered they'd bring in no money, hmm.

Still, turfing out the homeless in Windsor is disgraceful
 
I quite like the Royals and this whole occasion, as it helps me instantly filter potential social interactions with ease.
 
Don't care for the rest but don't mind Harry and Meghan, could't be bothered to decorate for a BBQ tomorrow so bought some Harry/Meghan bunting :o:p

It's everywhere here to, but at least the queen is Canada's head of state.

The GF asked if I wanted to watch it with her. I pointed out that it would start at 5am our time and she was welcome to do whatever she wants, but I'm staying in bed...:D
