Nintendo Classic mini NES

This launched last year, there was virtually no stock up until Christmas, now three months later, there still appears to be no stock.
Was it all a limited run item?
Is it in other countries currently?
Will anywhere restock it?
Anyone know when?

Just buy a Raspberry Pi 3 and you can easily load RetroPie on it for a mini NES, SNES, Megadrive, N64 .. plus it can also save states, so you can save your progress in each game, handy for difficult games like R-Type. For a controller, just use an old PS3 wireless controller.

It popped up for 15 mins on Amazon 3 days ago...sold out instantly, I actually had it in my basket but someone checked out with it before I got to.

Yeah, you can do that, like you can download any movies and not buy the Bluray....but then we are into a totally different conversation.

ah thx Ray.
If you see it again, please let me know!

How I knew is because currently it is out of stock, and there is only people seeing at an inflated price. Install CamelCamelCamel plugin, add it for £50 (rrp) for Amazon...it will alert you as soon as there is one for sale at £49.99, which means instock.

It was forced demand by limiting supply. Everyone was complaining about it on release. I dont know specifics, just seeing loooads of complaints on reddit about it.

May be, but I am thinking they put a lot of their resources into the production of the Switch, to make sure there is enough supply for that, rather than a £50 nostalgia.

if you only want it for the gaming chances are your post was from a phone or PC, both of which you can get a controller for a play all the games on.

if you want one to play all the games and have the admittedly nice looking mini NES you can pick them up from CEX but they are asking nearly £100 for one, hopefully stock will be available soon but I wouldn't hold your breath as Nintendo will want all the hype to be around the switch at the moment.

Of course you could buy one....or you can join us cool kids :)
