E3 AMD June 13th

I'm guessing its just going to be a round table or something. AFAIK, no new consumer GPUs till 2019 and the only thing close ATM is the 7nm Instinct card.

Maybe given its E3, some discussion about their console partnerships or Freesync 2?

We probably just hear more about developer partnerships, like with far cry 5, they can't announce the hardware specs of the consoles unless the console makers do it first.

i hope its a GPU.

Nvidia are sleeping like Intel did last year. AMD can really lay it on them if they release something ahead of schedule.

I think amd is cooking something special :) Intel made the mistake for holding onto what they thought was the best.
Nvidia is holding onto 10 series leaving Amd enough time to gain ground..

Why wouldn't Nvidia just release the 11 series and stop amd? I think it's a big mistake from nvidia, just like Intel have been doing Rehashing..
Am probably completely wrong here but I really do want to see amd compete like they doing with Ryzen..

:)

They're def starting to kick ass with Ryzen, I just think it's a little soon for them to start doing the same with their gfx line-up. A year or two we might start seeing something.

Bit different though with nVidia they've shown off architectures more advanced than Pascal and have known 12FF and 7nm products in the works, etc. with TSMC now ramping 7nm.

Intel on the other hand have very little to show that isn't tweaks to existing products and known issues with producing sub-14nm products, etc.

Could be more on the vega nano... Other than it being held up and I think we know it was vega 56 I dont think we know anything else definite.

I would love to be wrong, there are loads of things I would love it to be and a few things that have not turned up that I thought they would do.

I think it will be a case of

Unfortunately, there's no secrets in the tech industry any more. If they were planning on releasing something, we'd have seen rumours/leaks by now

I heard from a reliable source (my windowcleaners hairdressers boyfriends mate) that RTG are going to announce the second generation of Raj's Holocube this year & I for one can barely contain my excitement. I've got my big bottle of Dr Pepper, bag of Revels and pack of wet wipes ready an waiting....

Normally I'd be hopeful right there with you, if they hadn't recently lost their head of RTG...

I hope we're all pleasantly surprised!!

Reading on HardOCP today suggests Raja was partly to blame for AMD falling so far behind Nvidia as he kept changing his mind about which direction they were going. Probably they reason he ultimately left.

I believe it's actually a 2018 Vega T-shirt they are going to announce :D
