So in terms of windows power plans I should be using balanced?
Is it wrong* on Win 10 to use the Ryzen power plan?
When you install the AMD chipset drivers it changes it automatically to Ryzen balanced. I assume AMD know what they are doing.

Bors is crap id rma the board obviously its broken but seems You just cant take it in to brain that You have damages product and looking for solitions that dont AND WONT exist.@AMDMatt
Hi Matt. Not expecting you to trouble shoot this issue but just guesstimate. Why does my Samsung B-Die Team Group 8Pack 3200Mhz ram not work at DOCP settings? I have a 2700X and a X370 Prime-Pro.
It is stable at 3133MHz but if I set it to 3200MHz using DOCP it will freeze eventually during gaming.
I tried for weeks and weeks to make it stable and even RMA'd the ram as I thought it was unstable. It was also exhibiting the same problems with my 1700.
Any remote chance that a future BIOS could solve the issue? Like a new AGESA.
He does not have those presets thats perk pf ownig Crosshair boards. You should do dome calculator.magic for the ram kit. I know that Stilts presets are not best for teamgroup kits they are better for gskill.@opethdisciple
I have a different board to you (Asus CH7) but also have Samsung B-die DDR 3200MHz.
Turning off 1T Command Control made the RAM stable for me at 3200 (although I am not using DOCP profiles, I am using Stilt's "safe" preset in the BIOS).

Any board any bios update clears settings. You dould not like to have bricked board of it did not would You??Thanks for heads up on the Asus BIOS - question will this reset all the BIOS settings I've changed? This happened the last time I updated the BIOS...
Also a Ryzen n00b question; what exactly is the benefit of AGESA code updates?
Can someone translate the last few posts please?
Resistance is futile. You will be inebriated.
I got a chuckle
I was saying earlier in the thread that I couldn't get my b-die ram running at rated 3200 with a 2700X on the X370 Prime Pro.
Turns out reverting to the previous bios was all I needed to do - 4008 I think.
All running stable now.
I didn't get the crosshair vi from the MM due to a seller ****-up and was considering a x470 board but I think I'm just going to stick with what I have now. Maybe when boards with new feature come out I'll consider a move.
