Ibiza tips

Sleep on the beach. This was what my father used to do when he was giving up his responsibilities back home.

Go to a British resort instead

This is strictly MY OPINION, and just MY OPINION, but to contemplate somewhere in U.K. over the Balearics, you’d have to have an I.Q. of minus one, I reiterate, SOLELY IN MY OPINION.
There are a great deal of good places to go to in Ibiza, but in all honesty, it’s been so long since I was there, that all the bars had pictures of Franco on the walls, and I was buying booze with pesetas, not euros, but I remember Portinatx in the north, as a great place to lay about on the beach, some of “South Pacific” was filmed there.
The clubbing scene in Ibiza was too frenetic for me, I was getting older, and felt that I didn’t fit, so in the late 80s, I was going for the cool Limey bit, in places like Coney Island High, and the Lyricist Lounge, NYC, I got shot down more times than the Luftwaffe did, in the Battle of Britain, but I’d come up smiling.

Right lads, I booked the trip, it's me and 2 girls staying in an apartment hotel in playa den Bossa, booked for 5 days. I have booked tickets for Ushuaia tomorrow land party, Pacha With David Guetta and Hi with Armin Van Buren.

I have heard it's better to buy drink vouchers for the clubs.

Any big things to avoid? Think I'll get a bum bag with a padlock to take my phone and wallet in for the clubs.

What beaches do you recommend to go to during the days?

I wouldn’t personally take a phone out. At all. 90% chance of it getting pinched. Locked in a bumbag or not. :p

Don’t wear any visible jewellery either.

Go all inclusive so you can tank up on booze before you head out. (We mostly headed out of our hotel at 10/11 in the evening. )

Edit. with the wallet, I wouldn’t take it out either. Just cash and a debit card

I've been to Ibiza for the day and it was pretty quiet but this was over 10 years ago.

If I was to go there again it would be to goto café del mar and watch the sun set.

I'm 52, probably not got long left on this planet, and my bucket list has precisely 1 thing on it.

Hi guys,

Just came back, it was fantastic. Stayed in Bossa. San Antonio looks like a total dump, was there for the England game which was mental but the vibe there was very very trashy. Ibiza town is not far from the clubs and is really nice. Overall eating out is quite expensive. Drinks in the night clubs are a joke, if you plan on getting smashed on alcohol you will have a very epensive holiday. It was great being next to the DJs while they played their sets though, we stood next to Guetta for most of his set, even thought it wasn't that great a set, it was a brilliant experience! Ushuaia was my favourite place, totally mad!

Definitely going to go back again next year!
