FIFA World Cup 2018 - Round of 16 [30th June, 1/2/3 July] **spoilers**

I think their complaint is that the cameraman only ever picks out the hot ones and never shows the munters.

Can't quite remember the match, but there was a few points when the cameraman focused on a family of three, mum, dad, and son, who all were rather portly shall we say, and they all sat there munching very large pasties or pies. of some description.
I remember as there were rather raucous laughing in the pub I was in, each time the camera went to them.

What's sad about it? It's never okay to forcibly kiss someone, doing it while they're doing their job and it's being broadcast live to millions of people is pretty humiliating. It happened to a Brazilian (maybe south american) reporter and she handled it pretty well.

Because its completely harmless. The fans are over the moon and celebrating and tried to kiss her on the cheek. I have been kissed on the cheek by a lot of people and never felt like an invasion of my personal space or an assault of any kind. Years ago a reporter would laugh and that and smile at the fact that a fan was being silly and cheeky. I'm not sure how you think that is humiliating. People need to lighten up and not look at everything as a malicious assault or something sexual when its just someone being a bit silly. He didn't grope her, he just tried to plant a kiss on her cheek.

Your example isn't really comparable to camera men picking out good looking women in the crowd. I wouldn't call it objectification but it does get borderline creepy when it's the same few girls the camera cuts to, just waiting to see them react.

Its a bit weird but people like to look at beautiful people. My point is that the BBC is quite happy to promote women objectifying men then the next second they are complaining when something similar happens to women. I don't have a particular problem with either but try and be at least remotely fair.

Woman on SSN leading a campaign against the over sexualisation of female fans.

Knew it wouldnt be long.

Really? Bored housewives waiting for their nails to dry.

I've seen just as many males being shown.. The cameras couldn't stay off one chap in the Argentina game the other week who was crying, snoring, dancing, shouting and even dribbling.. ;)

So just because you're fine with it they have to be too? Perhaps they should be allowed to pat them on the behind as well? It's pretty harmless right? Newsflash, it's 2018. if it's not your body then you don't have a right to do what you want with it.

I think we need to come out really fast today. I feel like if we keep up a good pace we will be ok, it's only when we slow the game down I start to worry

I think the difference between Japan and Belgium was that Japan came out of a very difficult group, they had 3 tough games whereas Belgium had 3 pretty easy games. It took a long time for Belgium to get up to the same competitive level that Japan were at and even then you could say that the first Belgium goal was a little bit lucky.

This is looking like a game that will be short on quality but at least its a change from watching teams that dive and cheat for half the game.
