All along the watchtower
I know this is a very civilized place and the owners want to keep it that way. I applaud this.

BUT... I am really fed up with a lot of stupid so and sos in the world, but I don't want to overstep the mark.

1 government, what a bunch of useless self serving things.
2 opposition, what a bunch of useless self serving things
3 media, what a bunch of useless self serving things

Hmm, that seems to be it.

BUT, why do the media and media people think they are the only ones that know anything about anything.

Most people who have been in a job for a few years and had responsibility knows loads more about real stuff than all these idiots in the media and government.

It's almost as if everyone living in the real world is plodding along keeping things going while these people argue with each other and keep coming out with more and more ridiculous extreme statements to justify their own position.
Millennials blame baby boomers, boomers blame millenials, where as an reality we should get on with each other and support each other, life's too short.
As for remainers and brixiteers, it would be helpful if the government had a sensible plan.

How and when is it all going to change.?

HELP stop the world I want to get of.

Only when something bigger comes along that forces people to work together to survive - and even then there will be some bickering over ultimately meaningless things right down to the moment they are annihilated.

Step 1, limit of 1 house per person.
Step 2, tax everyone the same income tax percentage.
Step 3, proportional representation
Step 4, raise interest rates above inflation
Step 5, sack off the tv license
Step 6, introduce GRPR-like fines for anything printed in the news which isn't factually correct

People will alwayd complain whether it's in the middle of the Blitz or if their suntan is one shade off colour etc.

To be fair on polititians it must be a tough job, loads of scrutiny, public speaking and appearances and one wrong move(tweet etc) and you can be fired.

If everyone took responsibility for their own due contributions or lack thereof towards society as a whole, me and the OP included, the world would indeed be a better place.

“So, every time the curtain falls
Every time the curtain falls on some forgotten life
It is because we all stood by, silent and indifferent
It's normal.”

""No man is an island entire of itself; every man
is a piece of the continent, a part of the main;
if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe
is the less, as well as if a promontory were, as
well as any manner of thy friends or of thine
own were; any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in mankind.
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee."

- John Donne.

I remember reading somewhere about the tribal nature of man, how it started with small tribes bickering, then kingdoms, empires and now nations but that it also happens in the everyday through football teams, companies and political parties. The article inferred that its only when something bigger comes along do we form a bigger tribe and start working together. That basically if we want the whole world working as one we need to identify another tribe from out there, in this case aliens.

I remember it being an interesting albeit far fetched read.

as a species, we're bored.

it's been a while since we had a decent war or a proper arms race or a proper period of scientific discovery to fill the newspapers with proper stories and keep us entertained. the resulting disgruntlement combined with the internet's power to give every idiot the same voice has led to the rise in dissatisfaction with our leaders and the subsequent changes in political make-up that results.

we need something big but achievable to do to get our minds back on track.

Step 8, remove the house of lords
Step 9, stop expenses you get a wage buy you're own thiings
Step 10, bring boot camps in for kids
