Idiots smash ambulance after England match

Yet we don't see these scenes in other countries with huge football followings. Germany? Nope. Spain? Nope.
We don't see it with other sports in this country.

Well I'm actually fairly uniquely placed to answer your point as I work in Berlin and have watched a fair chuck of this world Cup in Germany including 2 Germany games and 2 England games and all I'll say is that if you think Germany is clean in this respect you couldn't be further from the truth.

While watching the last Germany game at the Brandenburg gate, the German police embedded plain clothed (and Armed!) officers within the crowds and they were not exactly wasting their time with several morons getting arrested, the difference between there and here is that most of the trouble was dealt with as or before it escalated.

As someone who lived in Munich for 5 years, I also would back this up. It's very easy to throw stones when you don't have a clue about anywhere else. And to mention Spain as well, dear oh dear.

notts was crazy. brought the center to a stand still. people hanging off buildings on bus roofs , bus stops . you name it people either hanging off it or climbing on it. god help it if we lose the next match as it will be carnage.

Chav sport = chav fans.

When was the last time you heard this happening when City/United won the league? the world cup attracts the Ibiza types unfortunately, they only care about football once every 2/4 years as it's an excuse to drink themselves stupid(er).

When Greece won the euro policemen were actually setting fire to their vehicles. Football is just like that everywhere.

Its part of the experience and goverments just accept the costs of celebrarions.

The ikea invasion was pretty funny tbh... vandalising an ambulance and other vehicles though not so much, hope they get caught via social media.

Does anyone remember those large-scale riots and looting in London earlier on in this decade? It was either in 2011 or 2013, can't remember which but was definitely an odd numbered year. It spread to other cities too like Birmingham and Wolverhampton.

A lot of the people were identified from CCTV tapes and mobile footage and brought under the justice system. Hopefully some of yesterday's England fans will meet the same fate as mobiles can record better footage nowadays.

I mean it's bad that the vandalism happened, they're obviously complete morons, but I think yesterday will have netted the country a considerable amount in tax considering the amount of people out celebrating and enjoying the day, pubs must've made a killing.

It was before the Olympics, yes 2011. August 6 - 10 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_England_riots

GF asked me what is wrong with English people? and what does vandalising IKEA and ambulances have to do with football?

I told her "footballs coming home." She just shook her head.

Saw some recent footage of Spain, where the police were quite happy to hit a few England fans - who to be fair, were actually behaving - with their batons. But these fools ruining the ambulance car need to be dealt with. It isn't celebrating or 'getting carried away', it's just being a ******* ********.
