Non-alcoholic beer

You might as well buy Fentiman's soft drinks - their cola is epic, tastes much nicer than any alcohol-free beer and is similarly priced.

I've never had a good alcohol-free beer.

From what I remember the last time I tried a few and this was a good few years ago the Cobra alcohol free one was pretty good.

I can't bring myself to drink beer without alcohol, it's anathema. So since I quit drinking I've been quaffing the premium Ginger Beers, Dandelion & Burdocks etc etc.

I tried it for a while, but there’s just no point. You pay over the odds for it as well. Pretty much same price, but without the good stuff in.

For lager, Heineken is my favourite, but expensive. Bavaria is kinda ok I guess, and its really cheap compared to Heineken, so often I go for that.

Nanny state is nice for sure, again expensive though.

I wish the non alcoholic stuff was priced lower, I mean, there's no duty on it so the profit margins must be huge?

Don't see the point if its got no alcohol in :p, mike as well just have a glass of coke :p

2L bottle of shandy, 60p in the fizzy-pop isle. I bought some the other week ahead of a BBQ, for the kids/drivers etc. Quite nice too out of the fridge, although I'd never admit saying it. :)

I have just had a bottle of Nanny State having picked it in error when I was grabbing some Elvis Juice. It was actually decent, to the point where if I had not have realised it was alcohol free when I put it in the fridge I probably would not have noticed when drinking it. That's probably because it is quite heavily hopped.

Unless they've changed it Becks blue is horrible, not tried it for years though.

Nanny state is good if in the mood for something very happy. Bonus is virtually no calories - it's probably the healthiest thing you can drink.

Heineken is alright

Guinness 0.5% lager is surprisingly good, apparently they don't have to remove the alcohol, it just isn't generated during fermentation.

The low alcohol (1%) ciders are good too, genuinely have the dry taste of cider, certainly is not apple juice.

It would be nice if they were cheaper but small quantities produced and it's still 100x more expensive to brew something from natural ingredients than churn out some chemical syrup (most pop). I also don't usually want a sweet drink so it's something like this or a cup of tea.

If you want something refreshing and save money too I'd recommend just sparkling water with a slice of lime and ice.

The alcohol free erdinger is probably the best one, but not everyone likes wheat beers.

Birra Moretti Zero is very good. There is no other alcohol free lager that even comes close imo.

I really don't get the point of non alcoholic beer, it's the fact that beer gets you drunk that offsets the fact it tastes like urine, if you remove the alcohol then you may as well just save money and drink your own urine.
