C'mon, getting a bit much now no?

I used to like it when people didn't really use the internet, now we have smartphones everyone has access to it. Was a cool place to escape back in the day!

What i find irritating is how most websites are now phone/tablet optimised and so there's about 3 lines of hideously ugly text I can read before I have to scroll down.

Really urks me just how ugly most webpages are today. This forum is a breath of fresh air in terms of readability, shame about the content tho...

Actually, there's one thing that really bugs me lately, websites that also have a mobile app and just can't stop reminding you. I know Reddit has a mobile app. If I wanted to read that thread in the app I'd install the ******* app. Just give me the ******* thread to read, now, in my browser as God intended

Ja this one too, if I downloaded every app I am asked to I could probably fill a few terabytes of storage

Agreed 100%.

There is little I use on a regular basis these days. All these click bait things all over the place. It does indeed, on the whole, suck.

HAH yeah - especially sites that every 10-15 minutes (and on the first load) you can only scroll down about 1.5 pages after which it brings up a message about their app over the top of the page :( likewise if I wanted to use their app I would be by then and pushing it on me in the manner just means I won't use it out of spite.

Absolutely. Gets right on my wick. Surveys are the worst offenders, as they seem to appear at the most innoputune times. Standing on the packed concourse at Cannon Street, desperately trying to get the National Rail app working becuase the trains are being their usual reliable selves, just about to click to view service disruption updates when suddenly a wild pop up dialog appears, "Hay mate do you want to take a quick survey lolololol? l" NO, GET THE **** OFF MY SCREEN, I'M TRYING TO GET HOME.

The one that is really getting on my breasts lately is the GDPR compliance stuff - please consent to us tracking you for advertising - and then you have the option not to consent and continue using the site - but they'll ask you every damn day to reconsent in the hope you'll give up and agree to their tracking. Its doing my head in.
