Day trip to Wales

Need a route plan as my plan would be to meet you on the route somewhere.

Will put something together on Friday when I know who is coming. Will try to choose a route that will make it easy for people to join, depending on where everyone lives.

1. Micloi(TBA)
2. Simon (stage 3 Golf R MK7)
3. James & Andy (stage 1 Mercedes E63 AMG)
4. Matthab (Seat Leon Cupra 280)
5. Greg (BMW 135i)
6. James (stage 2 Skoda Superb)
7. Ollie (stage 2+ Golf R MK6)
8. Housey (R8 V10+)
9. Raoul (BMW e92 M3)

Raoul kindly offered to let us borrow some walkie talkies to make the trip easier and possibly some action cameras too. He has 6 walkie talkies and I ordered another 2 so we should have enough for most cars. If anyone has some please bring them (our 8 will be Binatone 1100 if it matters).

I have one in my car but its flat as a board. Will see if I can charge it with one of my chargers, used it for Ring trip.

What would be pretty cool if we found a stretch of road, like private or quiet that is about 1/4 mile or so, someone stands midway and we all accelerate towards and pass with someone filming. So a flyby as to speak to get all the different induction and exhaust sounds on video.

It is just finding a suitable very quiet road or even a private stretch of road to do so, probably a few in Wales or we just find a quiet wide section of road and we all park up and do it.

Just be sure to make sure the route does not conflict with any busy events.

Maybe also check camera van locations in advance. ;)

Anyone in any car is very welcome, it's not a race, rather a nice day out with good company and hopefully nice food too!

If you have any more suggested routes in addition/instead of the ones posted earlier in this thread please do post the Google maps links!
Not fussed really. From mine and @Gibbo perspectives we just need to know where to hook up with you chaps as we are 20 minutes from one another.

Come along, never about the car on these things really. Banter and smiles, not looking to break land speed records....because if we were you'd be really **** :p:D;)

I would love too Housey but fortunately i'm in London till Sunday. Micloi mentioned another one in August which will hopefully go ahead (with the success of this one).

How about stop at beach, fish and chips lunch? Maybe Barmouth is a bit more commercialised so plenty of parking/pubs to eat.

Of course Harlech is beautiful beach, good parking, but no commercialisation though I think the small village does have a pub/chip shop.

As nice as driving is I also like to drive on roads with incredible views and also have a nice relaxing stop and with such incredible weather the beach is always my first choice. :)
