It's too hot :(

The humidity here makes it unbearable though, and on holiday we are relaxing not working ;)

Have you ever been to Tampa florida in summer? Never known humidity like it. And the mosquitos! I'm struggling to imagine leafy Hampshire is any comparison.

I maintain we have it OK in the UK. But I invested in air con for the house so maybe I'm ahead of the curve? :)

I think in the new year im going to get a split system fitted, one with two indoor units one for the living room and one for the master bedroom, not sure it would be cost effective to try and cool the whole upstairs.

People pay thousands to go on holiday for weather like this. When we get it at home those same people complain it's too hot.

I r confuddled.
I don't go on holiday and work, tend to get air conditioning in the bedroom as well there, and people cooking my meals instead of myself over a hot stove.

I'm definitely getting a split unit, not sure if I can stretch to a dual one but definitely one for the bedroom.

Because this..

Most of us don't work all week on holiday though, and usually have a swimming pool or seaside on the doorstep and plenty of cold drinks!

30c+ and I'm having to run around customer sites in jeans and black top rather than lounging in the pool/sea with a beer.

Now you know how all those poor ******** serving you on holiday feel :)
In the carribean all of the local bar staff generally wore just shorts and flip flops while serving on the beach before sitting in the shade. Plus being local it never dips below 17c in the winter so they're kinda used to it.

This is because when people go on a holiday, they usually spend their time sunbathing and staying in the sea or pool.
So, it isn't the same.

Have to say, I have never really understood why people would willingly spend money on actually traveling to places that are even hotter and/or more uncomfortable than Britain in the summer! :/

That’s the thing, I bet most places have aircon out there. Here in the UK hardly anybody does, plus we are not used to the heat. If most people had aircon we would see much less moaning(probably!). :)

What a ignorant comment to make, as others have said on holiday you have the pools, sea and cool drinks. You only there for 7 to 21 days max this has gone on for 3 months now.

I don't go on holiday for 3 months with no air con or pools to dip my feet in. Its still 23c here and its going on 9pm.

2 1/4 hours late our rain is - so much for BBC weather forecast -I bet we don't get any but it is so much fresher - nice to be cool again.
