MSI Geforce RTX 2080ti Gaming X Trio!

Can't believe you guys are even guessing 650. You lot have completely lost your marbles. A new flagship top of the line gpu with new tricks and a new name. You lot forgotten Nvidas disgusting milking of every gamer and the prices of gpus the last year or so? How on earth is a brand new flagship ti card going to come in less than the current ti

And there you have how nvidia keep winning and taking the **** out of everyone.

If they release a Ti at the start. I can ASSURE you it is not a "flagship, top of the line card" ! It will not be what people think it is. A better card will come along in 6 months.

Just nvidia up to its old tricks. And it's working...

We are going to end up paying £800 for midrange cards this gen I just know it.
And when I say midrange you might think "2060?". No I'm talking 2080 and even 2080ti

Yeah, they're not going to blow their load early. Keep something in reserve in case AMD spring a surprise later on and if they don't, it's something else new and shiny for people to gobble up when the hype has died down over the 20X0 series launch.

Great business sense and wonderful for the shareholders. Sucks dirty dingo dongs for the consumer though.

2080ti if it exists will surely be £800+. Nvidia can price it all they want at below that, but once it leaves their hands the markups will be added beyond anything Nvidia recommend. There is zero competition.

£899.99 at the very least but since we're in the UK it'll probably be well over the £1000 mark, I think this GPU gen will be the one that forces me out of PC gaming, On principle I am not paying over £650 for a cut down GPU, The 1080 Ti launch price was high enough.

Looks like this is now par for the course with no current competition. Probably going to be a die shrink in the next year or less for an increase in performance. Get used to increasing prices with brexit and a company only competing with themselves for the foreseeable unless AMD release their 7nm for both pro and consumer. But even then will it be enough for there to be a credible alternative?

I'm thinking along similar lines. Might dip into the GPU fund to get an X1X for the new RDR instead and wait it out for a while and see how things settle over the next couple of months.

The 1080 Ti RRP was $699 when it came out. Blame online sites for making the price higher.
Don't just blame the companies selling at inflated prices as without buyers allowing these prices to become the new norm prices would have settled back to msrp.

Am considering this too and switching my gaming til Division 2 is out on PC. Not like my 1080Ti is suddenly going to turn into a pile of **** :D

Even nvidia leave it a few months before they start to retard performance with newer drivers ;) :p

This is why I’m holding out I don’t wanna spend £900 + on a card that’s gonna replaced in 6 months ....: but tech always changes I no that..

Nvidia can get away with it now with no competition. they can feed us 20% increases and ppl will still buy there cards it’s a joke ...

Bearing in mind I have no idea what your knowledge of GPU design and creation is, what do you think we should be getting? Serious question as this "cut down chips" and "feeding us X% performance" must come from somewhere. Maybe from a cost point of view this is what is viable? I'm not saying Nvidia aren't making a packet but where does just giving you it all stop and making viable business decisions stop?

I'm sure these cards could be a bit less expensive, but the cheapest 1080ti was £689 from OCUK according to press releases at the time and that was for one with the really basic cooler. The nice third party ones were what, £799. Whatever the ti's come in at the crap £ will have more of an effect than Nvidia.

Ah well.... The Ti label may have just been sent down to the lower leagues so be happy people. Nearly everyone can have one now.

The game starts again next year with the real Ti and I wonder what it will be called.

The RTX 2080 RTi will be unleashed.

Just kidding.:p

Rumours are that the 2070 is now the xx06 chip; that maybe even the Ti is an xx04 chip.

That would be (another) shift down the lineup for each of the cards; making room for new "premium" cards at the top end, which would have otherwise been the Ti, etc.

Might not be about creating space for a new high end card so much as just creating separation between the Pro and consumer cards, and selling lesser silicone for higher prices.

That being said the first pascal titanX was the same chip as the eventual 1080ti... so if there is a higher end chip it will likely just be a titan, cut down in the same way the first pascal titan was.
