Hey guys, 2 questions please.

Is the 8GB vs 11GB an issue? Say if I wanted to play heavily modded FO4. Or does the faster speed of the 2080 make it a non-issue.

Secondly, is the current GTX 2080 inno3d by OC for £680 as good as the FE for £750 nvidia?

The 2080 is not faster than a 1080ti they trade blows depending on games...

The inno 3D 2080 is 698

The gigabyte 1080ti is 579

It’s a no brainier

pay it then, why make a topic to tell you what you have already decided ?

Because I’m not sure if the inno3d is better than the fe or not

And I’m not sure if the 8gb will limit me in the future over the 11gb 1080ti.

I remember when I bought my 670 people said the higher gb model was redundant hence asking for advice

Even at 4k 8gb seems plenty. Remember most common external card is 970 with it's fraudulent 3.5 gb!

Do you know what DLSS is? Is no different at 4K than rendering a game at 3200x1800. Any card can do it and maintain same perf
Though DLSS picks 2560x1440 to upscale.....

I have a 4k TV which I play on.

I was under the impression DLSS increases FPS in games like FF15 with little visual loss compared to a TV upscaling it.

Nope. It just upscales 2560x1440 using some algorithms. As you see from the video posted above, natural 4K looks the best, followed by 3200x1800 upscaling (any card can do it for same perf), and then DLSS at 2560x1440. There is no "free FPS" increase as Nvidia leaves people to believe.

Imho there are some Titan Xp going around for sub £700. Grab one of these and don't look back.

I am buying via business so the 20% VAT reduction is why im tempted to buy new.

FF15 loves that extra vram, I feel we will see more games wanting more vram in future as well.

Also the way DLSS gains performance is by not rendering every pixel every frame, so if you consider true 4k to be rendering every pixel then there is no true 4k DLSS.

Why did NVIDIA make this so hard???!!

I'm mainly into 4k gaming and VR gaming... (majorly VR in the future I hope)... 2080 or 1080ti? :(

If the 2080ti was <1k, I'd probably just grab that
