Hey all,

I have had my 1080ti for 2 years now, current setup is

1080TI -> Display Port -> Samsung 4K

I am trying to add a second Monitor

1080TI -> 5M HDMI 2.0 Cable -> Samsung 4K TV

How ever when I plug this in, while it is detected in device manager, no signal is output on the Samsung TV, I tried the cable with my laptop and it works perfectly.

I have never once used the HDMI on my 1080TI, but it looks like it is not working?

Any ideas guys

Thanks!

Edit: Just tried a different HDMI cable with a different monitor, 1080TI no signal, Laptop works.

What are my options here guys? Will a DP to HDMI adaptor let me run 4k @ 60hz?

The 1080Ti uses HDMI 2.0b so has no issues pushing 4k @ 60hz over HDMI. Infact I am writing this on my HTPC which uses a 1080Ti hooked up to a 4k Samsung TV via HDMI and works perfect.

I would imagine the issue is just you hooking the TV up as a second monitor? Have you tried messing with the Windows settings, so rather the duplicate desktops, use extend desktop? May not work but could be worth a shot and reason I say this is my main PC is hooked up to my monitor via DP and my AV system is hooked up via HDMI into the same GPU for 5.1 Audio. I will only get Audio if I select extend desktop display not duplicate. Now this is specific to Audio I believe, but could be worth a try,

Did you try resolutions other than 4K @ 60 Hz? Does your laptop output 4k @ 60 Hz?

Hey, I tried plugging in just the GPU to the TV only via HDMI, and also tried running HDMI to a different monitor with a different cable. In both instances the Laptop was able to output a display, the 1080TI did not. I also tried fiddling with duplicate / extended desktops, while windows can see it their is no display.

With the 1080ti running 1 monitor only via HDMI I get no display at all.

Hi yes I did, I can not see anything at all unfortunately, even switching from DP on my main monitor to a HDMI cable, the screen just goes black.

Yes the laptop outputs @ 4k 60hz

Thanks
