Guys when you buy new expensive items (£100+) do you keep the boxes or throw them away ?

Yep. My garage has all boxes from major purchases in the last 5yrs, some longer. Useful when selling on or for return reasons.

I keep the boxes for warranty reasons and resell value.

Depends if it's something that I'm likely to resell or not. I'd keep the box for a graphics card but not for a microwave.

I only really keep the boxes in case I ever want to sell the item

I got god knows how many empty card board boxes in the loft just in case one day I may sell something..

yeah i keep the boxes of anything that is worth a few quid in case i decide to sell/upgrade.

I've still got motherboard/CPU/GPU boxes galore. I tend to put the old component into the replacement component box and forget about it. One of these days I'll go through them and take a trip down memory lane... Ah trusty old GTX 280, hello old friend

As a few others have said, only if them item is both small and valuable. I feel much more comfortable selling something on if it has it's original box.

Cameras, lenses, even watches, yes.

Fold them up and wizz in the loft, unless it's something i know I wont ever sell. Always sell for that little bit more on ebay if you have the box.
