Bigger screen or higher hz monitor?

I've got a 27" Benq GW2765HT monitor that I believe has a 60hz refresh rate and I'm thinking of upgrading!

I'm wondering whether I'd be better going for a larger panel (circa 32") or simply staying at 27" and getting something with a higher refresh rate. At the moment I tend to game at 1440p - although I appreciate that my GPU (in sig.) won't have enough grunt to bump up to 4K gaming on a higher res!

I tend to use the PC for racing games, Elite Dangerous and ARPG's as well as general web browsing.

Any suggestions as to what would be a decent upgrade?

LG LM270WQA (panel name), 2560x1440, 1ms G2G, 165Hz, ETA mid 2019 ;)

More info here: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/articles/monitor_panel_parts.htm

Sounds like they're releasing the top end nano-IPS screens first e.g. LM340UW5 (panel name), as LG 34GK950F / LG 34GK950G (monitor names).

Maybe worth waiting a few months / 6 months to see what 2019 brings.

Or if you don't mind VA then maybe the LG 32GK850F... Or if you want IPS then it sounds like stock is incoming and details at least this Monday.

Thanks for the reply - my only issue is waiting isn't my stong suit when I get an upgrade itch! :p

I guess what I'm asking is what is there out there right now that will give me a better gaming experience?

Does gaming at a 1440p at a higher refresh rate put more pressure on your GPU or is it the same as your monitor being 60hz? Also, I presume gaming at 1440p on a 32" screen doesn't tax the GPU any more than on a 27" screen since it's just a slightly different output?
