Xbox One X

AC:Odyssey would be my suggestion if you don't already have it. From the ones you listed, Hitman 2 unless you are a Call of Duty or Battle Royale fan, in which case BLOPs.

Never really got into the AC series. Got the very first on the 360 and I think I have some of the others via Games with Gold but that's about it. Haven't really kept up with the COD series either. Stopped pretty much after MW3 on 360 and only then did I actually start to play it when it made it onto the backwards compatibility list (went straight from 360 to XB One X on release).

Anyone here got the PUBG limited edition controller? I really like the idea of the rubber triggers, any feedback?

The new AC (Odyssey and Origins) games are vastly different from other games in the series, well worth a look.

I'd definitely recommend AC:Odyssey in that case, it's very different to the previous games, huge open world and probably my GOTY so far. It's also on offer at the moment in the Black Friday sale I believe.

Hey guys

I noticed my X got a system update today, but the thing is I didn't get the normal splash screen when it installs an update. I normally turn my X off in energy save mode, I noticed my external hdd and console still working for a while after I turned it off, upon turning it back on later I notice I can install MS rewards on the console, I checked in the console update area and it said an update had been installed today.

Was it a minor update or do updates install differently now.

Thanks

Just went to check and there is a ~490mb update. Installing now so I will find out shortly.

Details of the update are as follows:

Mouse and keyboard support on Xbox One

Developers now have the option to include mouse and keyboard input in their Xbox One games.

Fortnite and Warframe lead the way with the November update, with Bomber Crew, Deep Rock Galactic, Strange Brigade, Vermintide 2, War Thunder and X-Morph Defense adding support later in November.

Xbox skill improvements for Cortana and Alexa

The Xbox skill for Cortana and Alexa launched last month in the U.S., and with the November release we have the first set of updates.

  • Say “Hey Cortana, pair my Xbox” to any Cortana device and Cortana will automatically discover and pair with your Xbox – no signing in necessary.
  • The Xbox skill for Alexa has added support for gamers in the UK with the addition of UK English voice recognition. To get started with Alexa, just say “Alexa, open Xbox.”
  • The new navigation mode lets you use your voice as your controller. Press buttons (A, B, X, Y) and navigate around your console (up, down, left, right) – say “Start navigation mode” or “Press [button name]” to try it out!
Amazon Music app comes to Xbox One

Amazon Music is launching a brand-new app for Xbox One in the U.S. The Amazon Music app for Xbox lets Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers stream more than 50 million songs and thousands of playlists and stations through their Xbox One family of devices. Prime members can also use the app to stream more than two million songs and hundreds of playlists and stations at no additional cost to their membership with Prime Music.

Search Expansion

Search on Home now includes results from Xbox Assist and games you have “Ready to Install” or currently own as part of your memberships, including Xbox Game Pass, EA Access, and more.

Not sure if anyone can help but looking for an Xbox one x console that comes with the elite controller.

Have had a look around and I’m only seeing a white bundle that come with the elite controller but in white. Prefer it in all black.

Check currys they are doing some cracking bundles, well they were a couple of weeks back. I got both forzas, new black ops, project cars and tekken 7 for around 400 notes. Black bundle.

My friend got the same bundle and sold all 5 games, made the console dirt cheap for him.

Got a couple of potentially simply questions about the Xbox One X.... coming from a PS4
Should I be able to turn the console on by turning on the controller?
Also when I turn it on should there be a way it will turn on the TV?

Yes turning the controller on will switch on the console.

You can set it up with HDMI-CEC to turn the TV/Av receiver on at the same time.

Console will switch on as you hit the power button the controller yes.
You could controle everything with teh Kinect, but you dont get that anymore. Was the one crazy handy thing about it.
