Thot Audit

The **** is this?!

Not too far off Islamic ideology.

Won't most/many/some of these girls be declaring earnings anyway?

Probably yes, which makes it a waste of time, not to mention the various platforms report earnings over a certain amount anyway.

President of the USA is one of the biggest tax dodgers of all (allegedly) and even bragged about it though.

You're potentially conflating tax avoidance and tax evasion there.

If any of you follow Pewdiepie (if you don't, you should take a look, he now appeals to adults too) then you'll be aware of the Alinity drama that happened a while back. She's already got quite a bit of negative attention regarding the legitimacy of her immigration status, I won't be surprised at all if she has some tax ghosts in her closet.

Funny you mention that, I've started watching some of his videos lately after years of thinking he was just appealing to children and they (read, some of them) are actually pretty interesting

Supposedly he hasn't paid tax because of absolutely huge business losses that he can use to offset paying tax. How truthful he was about those losses is definitely questionable and his full tax forms will likely be a litany of lies, creative accounting and involve hiding millions through his businesses.

But the reality is he's pretty much a fraud, hasn't made nearly the money he says and keeps losing businesses due to how badly he runs them. As such it's not a huge surprise he hasn't paid a lot of tax in a long time. However somehow the public choose to believe him both that he hasn't paid taxes because he's smart, and he's definitely a multiple billionaire... while there is business after business venture of his that has failed. Again he lost money on a damn casino... no one loses money on a damn casino. THey had to pay a 15mil fine after his dad came in, put millions into the casino in cash and never took the chips out or gambled, ie they just put an extra few million in cash into the casino as a ridiculously transparent and easily found attempt to prop up the casino because it was losing money.

The reason he didn't pay tax... mostly failed businessman.

What does political preference or gender or the line of work you do have anything to do with tax?

I am confused....just pay your taxes....

Some are, a surprisingly high number of the less professional almost entirely snapchat/instagram types apparently haven't been. It's those who are getting reported who weren't declaring their income who are getting upset. Presumably the ones who were are just laughing at the guys trying to get 'revenge' on them.

Because the people outing the "cam whores" are the same who think the sun shines out of Donald Trumps arse.

Donald Trump has paid the tax he legally owes, that's all anyone has to do. If there are ways people can legally reduce the amount of tax they owe then it's the governments job to fix that, it's not the individuals responsibility to pay the most tax possible.

If your guiding light is the letter of the law, then I guess so.

In some cases, morality takes a different path to legality, though.

That's not to say that tax avoiders are necessarily 'bad'. I mean, Trump could pay All The Tax and would still be an utter *****.

The problem is that Donald Trump is in charge of multi million dollar companies, and if he's paying as much tax as possible and his competitors are paying as little as they are legally obliged to, then he'll go out of business. The onus is on the government to create effective tax laws.

Your sentence contradicts yourself there.

Since he is effectively the government so it is in his best interest to not to tax himself at all and you said he is in charge of all these companies, I thought he signed those piles of papers with that Russian law firm to hand over control?

I agree that one only needs to pay what is due legally but your paragraph is full of holes lol

How does what you say answer the question: "What does political preference or gender or the line of work you do have anything to do with tax?"

???

If Trump fans appeal for something, even if it's something you agree is good and worth pursuing, are you immediately against it? Do you think these people shouldn't pay taxes? Why does it matter who brings it to light?

And whom do we think are costing the country more in lost revenue?
Lol let's just stop pursuing anyone who evades tax unless they're amazon or starbucks? No?

If you want the taxman to go after Barry the White Van Man then you've got to let the taxman go after twitch streamers too, even if they're reported by people you despise. You're showing how incredibly irrational you are, and also how full of hate you are for certain people :/

It’s not lost revenue if the corporations are paying the minimum that the tax laws allow them to pay.

Legally totally, it becomes a question if the law should be changed so they pay fairly towards the communities that support them.

Sure but do you have proof? Or is this just being assumed? If there is proof then whatever, it does not matter the occupation.

It's incredibly difficult to do for international businesses where parts of the business operate in multiple jurisdictions with different tax laws. It's a general issue of all international businesses. Us changing the law probably won't do a lot, it requires international cooperation to really crack down on it. Which isn't going to happen when some countries sole source of income is being a tax haven for massive multi-national companies, why would they agree to lose their lifeline?

I have no idea if they have proof. It's up to the taxman whether they deem it sufficient, I don't know how much evidence you need to report a self employed person to the taxman, I've never done it. It doesn't mean we shouldn't do it though, I really don't see why that's relevant?

Considering a lot of them are getting upset at the fact they've been reported, clearly some of them weren't paying taxes.
