Stupid Woman.. or Stupid People?

I’m glad this is deemed as important during such a critical time in the UKs history.

(Don’t bother replying about his integrity by lying, the amount of ***** in that place lying every day is rather large and about much more important things that unsettled people vote for)

UK Politics makes no sense to me and probably most of the world. Rather than bickering, why don't they sit down and work out problems together for the good of country. About time we had direct democracy instead.

Most of those people haven't built a platform for themselves of being better than the everyday playground antics, etc. though.

Chastising someone for possibly saying something under thier breath is straying dangerously close to implementing thought crimes - no wonder the Tories are all over it.

Be different if it was an aside during a break or in private conference with a colleague, etc. rather than an in session comment he didn't have the courage to fully vocalise.

Watched it earlier today at work and sure I could tell it was "stupid woman", just watched it on the BBC again now I'm home and I'm now fairly suree its "stupid people" - you can see the two P's being parsed by his lips. Then again I'm rewatching on the BBC and could be they've employed a video expert from the White House for a later edit ;)

I asked some people who'd just got in from work and weren't aware of it what they thought it was without telling them and every single person thought stupid woman on first watching but about half are split now (now they've caught up with the news) unsure if it is woman or people while the other half are insistent it is woman.

Who cares if it was 'person' or 'woman' the fact that our politicians are even getting their knickers in a twist over it shows how stupid they all are.

Saying that calling a woman a 'stupid woman' is sexist or misogynististic is about as stupid as saying 'stupid dog' to your family pet means you hate all dogs. The ones looking stupid in all of this are the politicians giving this story oxygen and the media.

It's a sign of the modern age that she seems more concerned about having been called a woman than being called stupid.

That was my first thought! I'm not interested in attempts to smear someone as a rascist, sexist, etc. If anything I'm starting to find myself more offended these days when I see someone try to grab power by calling out the specific language someone else uses rather than arguing their own point.

I'm sick of the endless virtue signalling and attempts to control dialogue to assert power in politics today. If that's all someone is capable of doing I've no reason to believe they themselves should be in a position of authority. To be fair it's the press whipping up a storm over this rather than Mrs May herself though. I think they've underestimated how fed up the public are with stories like this which are clearly being written with an agenda.

Regardless of your political allegiances I think everyone will agree there are far more important topics they need to be discussing!

I'd actually have had more time for him if he'd put his hands up and admitted it was said in a moment or whatever cack, instead he just blatantly lies...

I'm no lip reading expert but its pretty clear and - from his perspective - I can understand him saying it but to then lie? Naah, just underlines how unfit he is for the position he holds, which is sad given how much we need a credible opposition at the moment...

So true.

Indeed, another example of Westminster's slavish devotion to outdated traditions and pointless protocols.

We need to look at Australia's more robust debating chamber where insults such as
" the honourable member for Perth Central is, as usual, talking out of his ars* "
are the currency of heated debate and, strangely, no-one dies.

Madness, but it's diverted attention from the ongoing cluster**** that May is in charge of. What a gift for the Tories.

As many have probably said before, he should have just admitted it and continued to hammer May for her incompetence!

And to who ever it was that was "deeply upset" by Corbyn's language, I suggest she gets out of politics if she can't handle such "offensive" language. Can hardly rely on her to make tough decisions.

I don't especially think 'stupid woman' should be particularly problematic, but I'm willing to be educated on why it is, if anyone has a legit explanation

You wouldn't say 'stupid dwarf' or 'stupid black' or 'stupid disabled' without being rightly pulled up on it, but none of those are used in the same way as 'woman', with 'woman' being happily used as a noun in most circumstances, the others more acceptably as an adjective.

Also, she is a nasty ******* idiot, so let's not lose sight of that.
