When are you taking down the Christmas tree?

I really want to get rid of mine in today's green waste collection, but it feels a bit bah humbug getting rid before December's even out.

Tradition apparently dictates 12 days after Christmas is when it should be taken down, so either 5th or 6th January, but I'm just over it now and want everything tidied up.

Kids wouldn't thank me for it though so it's staying put until Saturday.

Ours is a synthetic so it doesn't really matter. It just goes back in it's box which takes about 2 minutes.

Probably tomorrow though.

Went up in the 24th only cos the missus popped round with presents and took it down on the 28th after coming back from hers. Tempted to take the cards down today as well

Mine is starting to drop needles quite badly so I'm going to burn it in the garden today, as I go back to work on the 2nd.

Tree was up 3rd weekend in November cos my wife 'loves it' but she's very quick to take it down again, we took it down last Saturday. Feels much better back to normal now. Electricity bill is back to normal too

Jesus what a bunch of miserable sods in GD sometimes......'it goes up on Christmas morning and down that evening'.....'wa wa wa Christmas starts far too early'. i often wonder are the people who post such things as ******* miserable as they sound or do they just post to appear mean/tough/edgy/cool

Same here, never bothered putting one up.

But if folk want to believe in some world saviour born under a magic star from 2000 years ago have at it. Just do not expect everyone else to follow the lie of christmas

Either tomorrow or the next day, I would have taken it down a bit earlier but haven't had the time. I'm looking forward to getting the space back! To be fair it's been up since the last weekend in November so it's had a good innings.

so you never bothered to put up a tree (or celebrate Christmas at all in any way?) because you don't believe in God? what do you do over the entire Christmas period? you don't follow the Christmas lie, so you don't even buy presents for anyone? i imagine you are a ******* absolute riot at this time of year.
