Not sure if this campaign will get the little darlings signing up to be honest. It is worrying just how soft some sections of our society are coming mind you. If we ever find ourselves back against the wall again, could we call upon the youth of today to fight for us and our freedom be as our forefathers did??

I used to use that word myself as it was trending on Mumsnet>AIBU. I've changed my mind now that the Daily Star has adopted the word on their newspaper front page numerous times recently. Millennials get a lot of hate as it is, so attempting to enrol them via 9-letter S word isn't going to do the army any favours.

Here is how these ********* types cope in training:

Granted it was naughty of them to distribute that footage.

Why is ********* starred out?

I think it got overused after the conservative victory or Trump or Brexit or all of those and some on the mod team got a bit wound up by constantly seeing it.

Personally millenials will feel a bit patronised I think. Also not sure about all young people being "ice crystals" as their parents and grandparents are probably sensitive people too - or "normal" in other words.

While the ad gets a giant thumbs up from me, does the army really need a bunch of flakes of white stuff whinging about the tiniest of things that they don't like.

If their goal is to kill the enemy with hysterical laughter then they are on the right track.

To be fair anyone who joins the forces and builds a career then they get my respect, not that that means anything of value. "Yay, Housey loves me, I'm in".

If this helps then I am all for it and if it helps a few people build out a great career then good for them too.

Don't think it will though, sadly but if it were easy...etc.

The British Army seem to know how to commit PR suicide with their latest recruitment campaigns. The soldier in the poster has every right to be ticked off for them using his face in that way without his consent.

No one else see the irony of that article?

Generally, think they are a good advert. There are several different ones aren’t there?
They are just pointing out that anyone should join if they want, there is no ‘type’ required.

You know nothing. In my day their was a documentary serious called 'It ain't alf hot mum' which showed the multicultural army (ok it doesn't but they do have some nice blacked up white bloke being Indian' and also some fantastic leadership from some bloke called Windsor Davies who was a Sergeant Major.

Learn yourself for gods sake!
