B Grade cases

To be honest all the B grade stuff ive bought has been great, all items included. I think they are mostly things people have returned for various reasons being something doesnt fit or match or work how they want. I doubt you'd have any issues with a case other than its been opened by someone else :)

B Grade items may have been used, have damaged packaging, missing accessories or a combination of these (Motherboards may be missing I/O shields).

Theres always someone that has a issue with B Grade items but not everyone you pay your cash and take a chance like this person I bought B grade GPU's twice. Both were faulty. OCUK refunded me instantly so it's still worth taking a chance on it.

Often when these threads appear there is talk of good B grade purchases and bad ones. Like the time when a load of b grade Gigabyte 7850 GPU's were being sold and they were from the batch that just didnt work as they kept causing crashes and instability. It was when Gigabyte were going through a horrendous period of QA with their GPU's.

Then again I`ve never had a bad motherboard from the b grade section. With monitors I remember someone bought a Hanspree which turned up with no stand and scratches/gouges on the screen. I recall reading about the odd monitor that was sold without the stand. You just have to remember it can be a little bit like a lottery but you can always return them. Monitors tend to end up there due to bad backlight bleed or stuck pixels below the guaranteed replacement number but I would say there are more good purchases than bad. For some reason b grade sales always break that rule about you hear more good than bad when normally with new products you hear more bad than good as people like to moan more than praise. Maybe because when you do get a good purchase its also a proper bargain with b grade. Also if you buy from there always ask in Customer Service section if they will knock any more off advertised price with regards to the one you want. A lot of the time they will, and have done for me.

ive bought 2 B Grade PC cases.. one was a Mini ITX case, and it had the PSU mounting bracket missing. So the case wasnt usable at all , sent it back. 2nd one i bought a Bitfenix Nova, and the only thing wrong with that was the side window had popped out. or more than likley never been fitted properly, other than that it was fine.. you take pot luck.

Out of interest who paid for the return postage for the Mini ITX case which had the PSU mounting bracket missing just wondered if you loose out on postage or does OCUK pay it ?

well OCUK pay.. you lose out a bit because you have to take to halfords to drop it off and thats 10 miles away for me, but i just waited until i was heading that way

I had other happy experiences but the following are my horrors
I got a fractal define r4 the paint was all messed up from factory and the previous owner kept one of the fans
Kept the case as it was cheap and i needed a metal box with filters
Got a fractal newton r3 600W and it blew up and released magic smoke
Did not brake my computer but had to pay for postage to send it back

Well case has turned up and mixed feelings at the moment. Case is in very good condition, 2 or 3 very light marks on the front facia but can live with that.

Biggest issues are no pump or reservoir bracket, no screw box or manual, not that bothered about the last 2 but first 2 are in my opinion a necessary part of the case, not sure whether to keep it or not yet.

Edit : Also no screws to hold the tempered glass panel shut either, how that survived delivery I will never know :)
