Hi all.

My parents have uplighter that takes a 4650 lumens bulb. I’m looking for an LED equivalent of this as a means to save electricity, but I’m having no joy.

Has anyone got any idea where to get something equivalent?

Many thanks.

I don't think they are available, see my earlier posts,
am using a philips r7s 4K metal-halide light 6000Lm 70W ... but best 'reliable' led brand I found, still in my basket, is pultry 2000Lm
https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B075ZZWC65
metal halide cannot be dimmed, but the reviews on the philips do not indicate if it dims reliably (some led dimmig is rubbish independant of dimmer control)

R7S wall lights i've seen have been 80/100/120w 80mm short R7S bulbs Haven't seen full size 118mm bulbs in wall lights

The full size ones tend to be in floorstanding lamps with a built in dimmer so this probably wont be compatible with led

You can get LED R7S But i doubt they will be anywhere near as bright, quick google found 2500 lumen so 2000 short

they're great none of this nampy-pampy multiple spotlights in the ceiling , just diffused light bounced off of the ceiling
... no reflections on tv etc. (if you don't watch in the dark)

the halogen ones are omnidirectional, so you loose some in the reflector, so maybe you can get away with less on the led directional ones

... so have you decided ?

after looking at the philips Amazon reviews, they have a 5year guarantee that help absorb the ~£15price, and the lumens are probably OK (1/2 original but in the right direction), but the comment about rubbish/noisy dimming put me off .... but OK could easily send it back if fulfilled by amazon.
