Hello all
Missus needs a new laptop but her budget is limited.
She doesn't game and doesn't video or photo edit. It's going to be used for Microsoft Office and web browsing so cpu, ram and GPU don't need to be super important.
I can't bear for her to buy a screen that is awful, so want 1080p.
It will mostly be used near a power socket so battery life is not critical.
I know a lot of people might say any generic pc world machine will do but I do want to ensure that the laptop is well built.
So budget, she's said £300 new. I've told her she needs to up her budget to up to £500 and consider used.
I've been looking at ThinkPad carbon on eBay which I think is 3rd Gen with a 5600u which seems to fit the bill, wondering if there are alternatives.
So what would you buy her?
