Seems the Christchurch right wing terrorist attack might have inspired some of our own right wing extremists :(

Quality photo by Steve Parsons there, and great reporting. 9/10 - would definitely read more about the huge increase in right wing attacks in the UK over the past few days.

Does anyone remember when this was covered on mainstream media for days on end?

ARMED men stormed through 15 villages to massacre Christians and destroy their churches in a violent crackdown against the religion in Nigeria.
I guess it doesn't fit the 'far right' are the only evil of the day narrative...

Christians are being persecuted all across the world and you rarely hear about it compared to say the Rohingya Muslims who have received constant coverage. I'm against any violence but my point is as I've said in other threads the fake news only seem to highlight stories that fit a 'far right' narrative and they demonise everyone on the right in the process.

Both Islamic and Right wing extremism need highlighting in the media.

You could argue that actually right wing extremism gets less attention even though statistically it is more of an issue. Especially in the US.

I do. This is part of the ongoing Boko Haram assault, which has been consistently covered by the mainstream media since it first started in 2009.

Nice attempt at whataboutism, though.

Disingenuous, the media don’t report on that as no one (unfortunately) cares, it would also be he only thing on the news reel.

Also what’s this got to do with Christians, this is a secular country with majority of non religion.
This is not a game of who is most persecuted.

If they were being targeted in Europe or the US, ostensibly the only places that matter to both, it’d be news. And the rohingya were driven out in the hundreds of thousands, it’s so close to attempted genocide, that it would be unethical to not report it.

The fact is that WE live here with Middle-aged failures who made a disaster of their life and blame innocent people for it. It’s inherently more newsworthy from locality.

It's a great pity that the good work the far right do is being sidelined by a minority of undesirables.

A great pity?? That the far rights good work is being sidelined. What good work is that exactly?? There is absolutely nothing good about any work the far right or far left do.

The fact that you find it a great pity speaks volumes about what sort of person you are.

Who remembers this ISIS beheading in London?

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...lling-great-grandmother-Palmira-Silva-82.html

No? That's because he was a paranoid schizophrenic and that was how it was dealt with, correctly, as soon as the facts were known.

The story the OP has posted has all the same hallmarks of psychotic episode of a lunatic so shouldn't be used as a way of convincing people there is a network of UK based neo-nazis ready to massacre Muslims in the suburbs.

I'll await the full facts to drop before reading too much into a story from the independent.

Yep, you're correct the same way the usual right whingers on here shouldn't jump to conclusions that attacks are automatically Islamic inspired just because the person is brown.

So, what about stories that are about a network of UK based neo-Nazis ready to spread their hate, are they indicative enough?

Nobody is arguing there isn't right wing radicalisation online. Anyone who knows what the Daily Stormer or Stormfront is attests to that. National Action was pounced on and nuetralised almost immediately.

And out come all the far-right terrorist apologists and sympathizers.

That was quick.
