Does anyone own giant beanbags or beanbag seat or anything similar.

My gf is trying to tell me we need to spend 400 quid on beanbags... I don't mind but is there a maker or brand that is better than the rest?

She keeps saying fatboy but it's getting a bit impersonal now as I belive she's fat shaming me too.

Can't remember how much we spent but our fatboy was on offer and nowhere near 400 squid.
They are solid and very good quality. £150-200 IIRC maybe?

Here you go op.

Had a massive bean bag years ago, it was great for monging out on. Then one morning I woke up to find that the cat had figured out how to unzip it. I was still finding little polystyrene balls a year later.

Hah had that experience :( - we had some at work one of which decided to dump its contents one day it is amazing how far they'll travel on the slightest breeze.

I keep thinking of Sam.L.Jackson from pulp fiction asking me "RUcomfy M***** *******?" At gun point....

Unfortunately yes. A friend had lent us one for a party and our gardener rested a huge piece of glass on it, which unsurprisingly cut it. I ended up getting a new one for friend and stitching it up.

Nothing wrong with them, but insane price for what they are.

We had 2 that the other half got on a Groupon deal so they weren't as expensive as £400. While they were well made, good for outdoor use as they were tough, we just never really used them so ended up selling as they also took up a lot of space.

Bought some from Made.com years ago when I was too cheap to buy a proper sofa.
They are fun for slobbing, and if you have the right material they're great for bbqs etc.
When the girlfriend moved in, the beanbags were one of the first things to go to charity (stranglely along with my popart poledancer painting...)

Don't expect your love affair with beanbags to be a long term commitment, more of a drunken fling!

We have a no brand one which is good quality, comfy, and cost about 10% of the price of those. We've had it for years so I can't really remember where we got it, but the tag on it says BeanbagBazaar.

so...would that technically mean they should not be "beanbags" and should be referred to as "ballbags"?

Were Fatboy previously called something else or did they totally rip off another company with the Fatboy original? Because I've got a red bean bag in the loft that looks identical to a red Fatboy original, label and everything. Wasn't called a Fatboy though....

Beanbags are quite frankly terrible. Too low down they look terrible and take up a lot of space. £400 so say £800 on two you could get a decent 3 seater sofa which would take up less space and look much better.

It's one of those thing you will realise after owning one that you should have bought a couch.

Wait, people actually use these in a living room in place of a couch? I thought they were just for kids to sit in front of a console on.
