Motors appears to be frequented by expert drivers who can do no wrong. So many of us (including myself) are quick to point out the errors of others but the fact is everyone does something stupid from time to time. Also I'm sure most people have some bad driving habits if they thought honestly about the way they drive, so let's be honest and post them here.

I'll start with:

I often indicate really late, one millisecond before my chosen turning the indicator goes on and I cancel it manually before the steering cancels it. The orange light probably only flashes once.

Driving to close behind at slow speed. It's my fault if I crash but after years of crawling through the Bristol rush hour I keep car in front nearby to deter people from taking advantage.

Anyone else want to fess up?

Only on the motorway though. I'm not a complete idiot.

Since I got the C63, I seem to be more impatient with people. But I try to generally be polite to others.

One thing I did the other day (also due to the C63, and it's weird stalk arrangement messing me up), while driving my wife's car was to accidentally flash the headlights when I was trying to clean the window. It only occurred to me a few seconds later that there was someone waiting to come out of a side road, and it could easily have caused an accident.

Speeding, mainly because I drive like I ride my bike ALL THE REVS!!!!

Apart from that I'm relatively sensible because I need to remember I am in the car and won't get away with half the stuff I do on the bike.

Edit: After reading below I also undertake people who refuse to change lanes on the motorway a lot.

Though, now i have a German car and a Japanese van, and the indicators are on opposite sides for each vehicle!, so sometimes when i indicate, i put my wipers on instead, so people assume i just didn't indicate

Is it undertaking if your doing 70 in lane one and someone in lane 2 is doing 69. I do that a lot. M62 everyone always jumps straight into lanes 2 and 3, lane 1 99% of the times moves at a more steady speed so you usually go past everyone in lane 2.

I like winding angry people up as well i suppose. Someone tale gates me i will slow down by a few mph every few seconds until they blast bast and i will just laugh and resume the cruise control to 70.
I don't speed anymore and it is shocking how some people get angry because i choose not to.

Depends what I'm driving

Bad habits in the Mondeo include ludicrous speeds on quiet motorways and general hooning as despite all its flaws with decent bit of poke and good rubber it can be fun to pedal at 10/10ths

Speeding is my main issue, which is brought on mostly by frustration. I am strict when it comes to residential areas and pretty much anywhere where there are a lot of pedestrians about. Those zombies can be unpredictable at the best of times.

Passing on the left. Totally legit and allowed.

I assume that's what the others are doing, rather than true undertaking which is bad and naughty. Using lane 1 to get ahead of someone in lane 2 by moving from lane 2 to lane 1 passing the slower car than you (whilst they may be doing 70+ and you're doing more) then moving back into lane 2 once passed....same as overtaking, just on the left.

I use noise to let people know I’m there and they need to get out of my way because supercar. Most do, it’s the nice thing about special cars, poorers know I own the road and they are my bitches. As it should be. Occasionally I’ll burn some tenners and throw them out the window as I pass. It’s hard being rite all the time.
