Hi, would someone be kind enough to tell me how many heatsinks I'd need for this exact card, or even highlight them using paint so I know where to put them?

It's an Asus RX 480 Dual (white shroud)

8 RAM chips need one each.

Then the big patch of VRM MOSFETs need cooling, you may find one big heatsink for those. They're the patch of black squares about a quarter of the way from the left. Next to the grey cubes.

I think AIO cooling it is a waste of time, the memory will fail an aio I suspect:

Can't you get a full cover block for these? Mind you given its like coming up to quite an old card the investment hardly seems worth it. Get a vega card and have some fun with that. They are much more fun for people that like to tweak than polaris (unless you buy a cut down baffin right at the low end).

GREAT stuff, thanks very much both of you.

Vince : I'm hoping to get a universal VGA block soon which I can then carry from card to card. The reason I've never got a full cover block before is they're so damn expensive, I don't think I could find any available anymore for this card anyway because as you say, it's quite old now.

I certainly can't afford a new GPU but this RX 480 plays my games close to max settings which I'm happy enough with. (FYI : Insurgency Sandstorm, Overwatch, WRC 7 and Steep)
