AMD Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) - *** NO COMPETITOR HINTING ***

Probably depends on the workload.
If latency is of primary importance then you go 1:1 3733MHz max.
If bandwidth is of primary importance then you go 2:1 and whatever you can get your RAM to run at.
For most it would probably be the 1:1 3600MHz that AMD says is the optimum price-performance point.
I had a 16GB kit of Trident Z RGB 3200 CL14 that I bought for £250 from a different retailer back when prices were sky high. I recently got a 8Pack 3600 CL16 kit for £150 from OCUK which is B Die as well and returned the other kit (£100 back). I managed to reduce the CL to 15-15-35 pretty easy which in my opinion is better than 3733Mhz at CL16. I have a Crosshair 7 Hero waiting so we will see how it behaves on that board compared to my Z270

Doesn't IF halve in speed once you go over 3733Mhz?? I think I read that before and someone said the same thing earlier. Would it really be beneficial to take it further?

im guessing you'd have to push 4400 hz with low timings to match 3733 . Just a LOT of users bought 8 Packs 4000 hit when it was like at £150 sale price a few months ago.

also, hopefully running at 3733hz you should be able to get some damn low timings

Board that Im expecting will sell masses ! 10 phase Gaming X - in theory this SHOULD be £135 - 15% mark up on z390 Gaming X but Pound is a little tooo weak

if it does manage to hit at £135 - £115 B450 MSI Carbon is up against it and is cheaper then the rear Strix B450 - E board

Damn I missed that :/ I am sure that kit is B Die anyways so you should be able to get it to 3733Mhz with low timings.

Where did the idea come from that RGB and a gaming chair increased FPS? Anyone that thinks that's possible is beyond stupid.

The chair allows you to move and react faster to what's on screen, the RGB is essential for godlike aim that will have the pre teens questioning your sexuality, and screaming VAC ban and I'm reporting you.

you really aren't aware of the benchmarks and studies that have somewhat substantiated the idea that rgb and gaming chairs do in fact increase fps?.....i'd link to them but probably best to let you find out for yourself. ;)

Still tweaking memory settings doesn't do anything to inter-CCX communication latency penalty from halving of InfinityFabric speed.
Games don't run completely inpependent workload threads, so fast enough communication between them is pretty crucial for getting the best performance.

It's a placebo, the faster reactions and godlike aim makes it feel like it's more FPS but if you have an FPS counter you'll see it doesn't change. You're just becoming one with the pc and headshotting without thinking. I almost agree with the whiners on CSGO, my RGB lights stopped working and now I couldn't hit the back end of a donkey with a shovel. It's too OP, and I think Valve and the others need to add RGB software to the anti cheats

8 core shouldnt be effected as much in theory but time will tell i guess . Interesting times .

seems AMD NDA on board pricing is more tighter then details of Zen2 !!!!!!!!!!

I'll put it this way , if your looking for a Board that is equal to X470 flagships like the Aorus 7, CH7 or Taichi, WANT to run Ryzen 16 cores ( 8 +4 CPU power plug for OC) and not going to fork out over £250+... then Buy one of these boards ......................
wouldn't personally run 12 core on B450 - specially if your going to overclock it

I ended up getting a CH7 Hero, I have a feeling high end X570 will be very expensive.

Guys.... REMEMBER TO CLEAN DUST FROM PC's or this can be YOU..... One year old LG OLED TV...... I guess My mate will be having unexpected Zen2 upgrade.... Lucky that it was just bstarting to burn when he came back from work or would have torched whole house !!!!

And that is why you shouldn’t leave a PC on unattended.

Lucky it wasn’t on overnight and him & family asleep upstairs!
