Windows 10

I updated a few days ago without issue but since yesterday I get this popup about a Microsoft Account problem when I boot to the desktop.

I use a local account on my pc though I do have a Microsoft Account logged into windows store. I've checked over my account and it has not been compromised. Anyone else getting this annoying notification?
 
Log out of the store and then back in again?? But it's a probably a conspiracy to make you sign in to windows with your full Microsoft account. :p
 
I kept getting the Microsoft account problem messages since I started using OneDrive with my local account, since I switched to signing into Windows with my Microsoft account I no longer get the warning.

I was messing around with some Linux stuff today (GTK style save file box for instance which somehow feels like you have one hand tied behind your back when using it) and it reminded me of your post and reminded me of one of the reason why I'm still on 7 (and that includes why I'm not on 10 where I can use 7) - with 7 very rarely does the OS get in my way and it is generally intuitive.

Only way to properly do it last I checked was some scripts that I think Dirk posted - all the other ways of doing it either only partially take control or the way they do it has been circumvented by changes in more recent updates.

Not sure if you serious or troll, don't know why you repeat the same question.

Of course there are apps been out for a few years to stop or control Windows 10 updates but you don't need these apps as Windows 10 Home 1903 now finally have ability to pause updates, people no longer need to disabled wuauserv service in task manager. Microsoft has app wushowhide worked for Windows 7, 8 and 10 to take full control of windows update.

248,412 people downloaded all these apps, there are no way to tell how many actually used for Windows 10, the numbers of people downloads apps to stop or control Windows Update are so tiny compared to over 825 million Windows 10 devices.

I don't know why some people downloaded these apps to used it for Windows 7, 8 and 10 which you can stop Windows Update, they all probably don't aware realised they can stop it without used these apps.

no troll also you just said that you control with win 10 1903 . too late. what if certain updates before then cause issues. also earlier builds of win 10 are far better for gaming for eg. performance wise.

i ask as i post to see if there is one simple solution to doing it which is trusted and doesnt cause issues. as you can see from previous responses most people say no. so its not cut clear. i dont want to have to use numerous scripts progs aps. just one way that works. thanks for posting what you have. which out of all of those posted is the easiest to use and actually does what it says ?

Well very experienced people like me don't needed all these apps or scripts been used Windows 95, 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, Vista, 7 and 8 before. Windows 10 is no difference to past Windows. I been done these steps before in Windows 95, 98 98SE, ME, XP, Vista and 7. Never had problems with Windows 8 and 10 updates.

1. If certain updates before then cause issues. Simple go to Windows Update/View update history and click on Uninstall updates to uninstall problematic update.

2. If Windows cant boot to desktop. Simple boot into Safe Mode then go to Windows Update/View update history and click on Uninstall updates to uninstall problematic update.

3. If Windows cant boot into Safe Mode. Reinstall Windows is the only solution.

It is not. There are other solutions as I encountered it the other day.

Only today I fixed an issue in command prompt recovery environment.

Reinstalling windows because you can't boot into safe mode is very much like using a sledgehammer to crack a peanut.

Oh really?

I asked my friend who teach computer programming in school if he cant boot into safe mode and is there other way to boot into safe mode but he said the only way is to reinstall Windows 10 via DVD, USB or Refresh to repair broken Windows installation. He will be very interesting to know what is other solutions you encountered in other day to boot into safe mode that was broken and corrupted.
