Something super is coming...

You did a 4K benchmark, The one posted was 1440p so of course your 4K result will be much lower than 1440p lol

They also did a 4k bench using the same settings, check out the difference.

For benching 4k is normally best to use as it removes or lowers the impact of things like the CPU.

First RTX 2070 SUPER game benchmark spotted!

Nearly as fast as GTX 1080 Ti and RTX 2080, much faster than Navi RX 5700XT and RX 5700.
Not bad. Shame about the pricing though. 3000 series is where it will be at imo. Super is just meh due to the pricing.

but, what makes anyone think 30## series will be any better? Call me a cynic, but what have Nvidia done recently to suggest any future gen will be cheaper? sure, it will be more powerful, but with the development cost of 7nm die shrink then won't it be even more expensive??? If people keep buying the 20 series (and they're sure to compared with Navi), why on Earth would Nvidia feel the need to improve the performance/price ratio (thus suggesting the 30 series will be a another jump in price again)?

The 3000 series could easily see another price hike if anything... They could align the name with the $ price :p

As I have mentioned before, I can’t see that happening. They will have consoles to think about around that time. Also these will likely be much smaller die’s which will likely be cheaper.

The super 2070 is almost on par with the 1080ti...just needs a bit of an overclock and it's on par... a super 2080? Could it come close to a 2080ti!

If they can add 15 percent increase in performance to the super 2080, it would be a great offerring at £700, Shame they did not offer such a card to begin with...

Yeah, but the issue is the price not the performance. 1080 Ti performance should be £400 at most by now. Less even.

Yeah the 1080ti launched at $700, and the 2070 super is $600. But it's not quite as good, as well as arriving some years later.

That's basically the very definition of stagnation.

2080ti is not going anywhere so with GDDR 15gb over the others GDDR 14gb and CUDA cores just behind the 2080ti i think this will be close you know in benchmarks.

Whats going to be the difference is 11gb versus 8gb of ram and probably sitting nicely in the middle of the gap between 2080 and 2080ti. It still will not double the fps of a 1080 user like myself and still cost £800. Thats the reality you watch and see!

Yea. Sad state of affairs. 2070 Super should be $399. Then I would sing Nvidia’s praises. Right now both AMD and Nvidia are doing a poor job imo. AMD are probably just relieved that Nvidia have such silly prices so they can finally make decent profits with Navi after Vega.

The 2080 Super is not going to get close to a 2080 Ti as NVidia are in no hurry to change the older card.

Yes I don't see much happening at the top end until someone challenges them. Why do anything when you sell the fastest cards and can keep selling them for high profits with no extra costs?

I’m hoping for better. The current 2070 is already faster than a ‘stock’ 1080ti. Just look at benchmarks in the timespy thread.

I’d be disappointed if the super ended up slower! So with that in mind the super should at least match an overclocked 1080ti which makes it a nice proposition.

I think you're getting confused with the non Ti. A 2070 tangles with a GTX 1080. It is no match for the 1080 Ti. The best 2 GPUS to have launched at their prices and offer great performance is the 980 Ti and 1080 Ti

I don’t get that chart at all. How is a 980Ti and 1660Ti faster than a Radeon 7 and Vega? It just isn’t, unless they’re using the most AMD hating game on the planet. Vega 64 tangles with a 2070 and look how far apart they are.

Agree - I posted same a page or so ago: Something super is coming...

You would need an AMD biased benchmark and then a neutral one to average out the results here.
