Before reviews even go live I think I'd comfortably tell you that it's indeed worth upgrading.

The CS:GO result is..... surprising.

The game must send lots of requests for data that can fit inside Ryzen's L3 cache. IIRC, Zen+ was 20% behind in CS:GO, and now it is significantly ahead.

Absolutely, I'm in the same position and it's time for the 4790k to be shelved into a second PC for the VR room.

I know Pete from SOS so might drop him a message on their forums. He tends to test with overclocked chips though which puts me off but I'll still take a look.

I'm interested in the 3900x to see how ccx scaling fares and the 3700x as it looks like it might be the best value right now. Also just general info on related stuff, like whether there are any motherboards have dpc latency issues - AMD Pro audio users are somewhat thin on the ground right now. Hopefully information will trickle in before too long as cash is burning a hole in my pocket

I'm watching the german original and he sounds so mad.
Taking a big dump on AMD marketing for their advertised clockspeeds which the CPUs never reach. No, not even in single core.
