I think there is an error our end or an error at the competitor, I have checked in our system and our cost is above the competitors by quite some distance, it is also odd how said competitor has launched all Asrock with a discount, so seems they maybe made an error, or we have the wrong cost, but our cost us a UK supplier so no mix up between USD and GBP.

You also need to look at the US/EU competitors too, I was told directly by ASRock through my IPC contact that it would be $249 weeks ago, so somewhere something went wrong on your end.

3700x and 3900x are identical in games. So I suspect the 3800x will be the gaming CPU to get. But according to hardware unboxed Intel is still king.

That makes no sense. The 3800X will probably be the same.

Dont usually go with this thought but I think there could be "fine wine" involved with these CPU's. Might be a little bit more in them with updates/bios improvements and RAM tuning too.

In their video the 9900k still wins in pretty much all the games they tested. Unless a few quid matters not sure why you would get the 3900x over a 9900k for gaming. All rounder though it’s nice.

what did I say about PBO killing processors with volts ?? I seen it happen on x370 x470 and now on x570

Any reviews say how performance is on x370 boards? Wondering if I should replace my asus x370 pro with a new x570 asrock Taichi as £240 ish is an ok price I think.

I imagine we can expect some platform maturity and OS updates (Scheduling etc) as time goes on so the Zen2 would be the right choice going forward rather than the 9900k which has likely seen all of it's maturity with nowhere to go.

Ordered x570 Taichi and 3800x elsewhere, should get them tuesday gives me enough time to do some benchies on my current rig to compare, should be a decent uprade.

Yeh went for a 3600 and 5700XT in the end after seeing derbauer's video on overclocking not being great (opted against 3700X).

I think I'll revisit the 3900X in 6 months when the price will have dropped a bit.
