Something super is coming...

I agree with you, the Xt is much closer to the 2070S than it is the 2060s whilst being the cost of the 2060s.

There is no doubt these AMD cards offer better price:performance and this is from someone whose last AMD card was a 5770

Absolutely. They'd be on a par if NV's cards were £100 cheaper. 5700XT will be a btter card altogether than the 2070S in time.

The custom cards need to stick under £400 imo otherwise I'd rather pick up a FE 2070S for £479 vs a £450 ish custom 5700xt.

We'll just have to wait and see

I've got a F-SYNC monitor that does G-SYNC, but I'd probably a custom XT even at equal prices, I like the look of the new RDNA architecture and I think Navi has more left in the tank than Turing. On the other hand you've got RT with 2070S. So at closer pricing it depends what floats your boat, there's not £100 difference though.

If the custom 5700XT's can come in at £400-420 these will be very good. Especially if 2070S stock for under £500 is going to be difficult to get hold of.

Wow wow slow down greggy.
Seems as if you are miss informed here. Granted it's only one benchmark but this 5700 OC smashed a stock 2080 son.....

That's a 330£ card beating a 800£ card. Let that sink in

Lol, I'll PM you my address so you can send me across some of that stuff you're smoking.

Where to begin...

Beats it in 1 game.

Gets rinsed by the 2060 in some games.

Standard 2080 is now sub £600, the reference coolers on the 5700/XT are tripe.

After market versions will be pricier.

Gets bummed by the 2070, and the 2070s.

You need to give your head a wobble, 'son'.

Do any brands of RTX cards have automatic zero RPM fans?

i.e. when you are not doing much, the fans stop moving completely. Like Sapphire's NITRO cards do on the AMD side.

Gigabyte also, I think the aorus one at least as I flashed my palit one to their bios and it started zero fan on me, which was a nice bonus

Why would you buy this over the Asus 2070S Evo which boosts 30Mhz higher (not much, but still higher) and for the same price?
I would just get the one with the biggest heatsink and fans for the cheapest and flash a much higher mhz and power limit bios from a different card. I don't condone that unless you know what your doing and make sure it's compatible though.

I wouldn't buy an Asus card due to the poor RMA record. Aus RMA sucks and there are plenty of threads on it, I always used to buy asus, but now other vendors offer better products than the once fabled Asus.

Well OCUK cover the warranty period, so shouldn't be a concern, unless there are other factors at work.
